A narrative of the issue is provided as a supporting document accompanied by relevant attachments (receipt, emails, photos, etc.). - the work was completed on 21 June 2022. - the price of the work was $931.62 CAD - the business committed to increasing the attic insulation to an equivalent R-60 using cellulose, sealing any air gaps around the attic hatch and installing ventilation baffles as required. - the nature of the dispute is that the attic insulation top-up degraded ventilation in the attic, which led to condensation build-up in the attic. This led to increased insulation weight over the drywall ceiling causing it to sag at the top floor. It is also possible that during the top-up, the drywall ceiling was stepped on and damaged. - the business owner came to complete an inspection after we complained. In his opinion the work was done appropriately, however, we are in a situation of conflicting assessments. The insurance company has ruled that the damage is due to the recent attic insulation work, while the business owner says the work was done properly. We have attempted further contact (6 Jan 2023) but have not received a response as of 18 Jan 2023. - invoice number is ****.
