We signed contract for some critical urgent landscaping works for our some of our companies with Greentop Landscaping. Since work was urgent, they promised to start the work immediately within 7-days of signing the contract and they promised to complete the work within 6-8 weeks. But after signing of the contract representative from Greentop Landscaping who seems to be also owner of the company continued to delay the start of the project. And finally, their sole point of contact who is also owner with whom we were in contact stopped responding to our emails and phone calls. After wasting almost our two months this company Greentop Landscaping completely disappeared and stopped providing any response. Therefore, we would warn everyone to beware of them and never sign any contract with them as they are not honoring their commitments and they never fulfill their obligations undersigned contracts. They have put us in a situation where all other contractors are now booked for season. We wanted to get our landscaping works completed prior to start of the snow fall. If there was possibility of giving negative starts, I would have assigned them -5 stars means worst type of company who doesn't have any business ethics to honor their commitments.

One of the Employee of ******** contacted us for their day care landscaping work, we have provided them a quote, contract and start date, but as we only allowed to work in day cares on weekend on this project, so project will take longer time as we have only 2 days in a weekend to work and we take off on every alternate sunday. So when there was a start date consecutive 2 weekends was rain and i told him that we got delayed running behind with our other schedule as our work is weather dependent. But from the beginning they keep pushing us to start. unfortunately 3 weekends passed we could't able to work then i told him if we only have to work on weekends then its going to take 5-7 weeks as its ***** days work for us. and all of sudden our 2 employees had to moved to other province for some family reason and we were struggling with team then i called him and said look we are struggling with our team we might not able to complete this so we want to withdraw this project. you find someone else and there was no deposit taken upon signing the contract. But he kept saying to us to refer other landscaper I said i can't refer anyone and we don't guaranty any contractor. if we will able to find right employee we can try but can't promise and if you find someone else and go ahead. ---There is lot to say about them and when i asked for reference they did't provide any, also in the market when i heard from other contractors they said there might be a challange to get paid after job done i felt scared. ***Question is when i told them and withdrawn 2 months ago why they kept waiting for us and now leaving bad review, they should have find someone else if its that urgent. they did't give us any deposit as well normally we take 40% deposit upon signing contract. this is worst experience for ever.

Unfortunately, the response from this contractor Greentop Landscaping is full of lies. I have a proof of his emails thread and complete discussion that we had with him. Even during the phone conversation, around two months ago, when he had a difficulty due to rain and he requested to postpone the completion schedule and provided us new date that he would be able to do it in End Sep or beginning October we agreed with that new schedule. He never told us that he wanted to withdraw. In fact, I conveyed him message that if you can not complete the project or can not execute the project just respond that you can not, do not keep us hanging after signing of contract. But till last week he continued to tell that he is waiting for response from another person who is required to do part of this project. He never mentioned that he wants to withdraw from this work. Otherwise, we would have closed this chapter from the day when he would have told that he is cancelling the contract. We have his signed copy of contract and all the required evidence that clearly shows what he promised and when he provided the new schedule to complete the job in End Sep/ first week of October. I just received his call after posting complaint on BBB. Otherwise since end July he stopped responding to my phone calls or email messages. The worst unethical attitude that I found from this contractor Greentop is that he kept us hanging and never told that he does not has capability to fulfill his signed contractual obligation at all. After several weeks of keeping us waiting, he finally called me day before yesterday when I have posted complaint on BBB and told that he can not start this project because price is changed. This is worst thing that you can hear after waiting so long. This is totally unacceptable that you sign a contract and agree on a schedule, and later on you provided another schedule and you didnt honor second schedule and stopped responding to emails and phone calls and finally started to come up with excuses that you are waiting response from your rubber pavement person and then started to come up with price increase excuse whereas you have signed contract that is in your records since beginning June 2022. And you agreed to payment terms, if you had any issue with payment terms or delivery timeline these must be officially communicated whenever we were sending several reminder emails, instead of disappearing and stopping responding to official communication and then playing with other delay tactics as I mentioned above. Unfortunately, I would say that Greentop is unreliable and untrustworthy contractor who can put you in the ocean and runaway to let you drown because of slipping of critical timelines that you have planned for your other related works and your business operations. My best advice based on my real experience is that "Never contact them for any business."
