***** ****** reached out to customer June 29th at 1:20 in the afternoon. I explained to the customer that we cannot fill the vehicle orders we have from customers within Edmonton and surrounding area so this was the reason we are not selling outside the province. Customer understood the reason and thanked me for taking the time to call him.Initial Complaint

They kept my credit card number somewhere on file without my permission and charged my card without my knowledge or permission. I found a charge for $500.87 dated Feb 1 on my **** with no permission given to them to charge my card, I did not provide my card number to anyone for this charge, I received no receipts, invoices, calls, texts or emails indicating that I had anything owing. Can't get a hold of anyone in the finance department or managers or get any answers when I called to speak to someone about the unauthorized credit card charge.Business response

Sales manager Kameel called the customer about he charges for the car rental the customer had. The charge from ********** was more than what the customer was expecting. The customer supplied the credit card number in Jan of this year. Once Gateway received the ********** invoice Gateway charge the customers credit card but Kameel did not call the customer to advise on the amount. Gateway has sent the customer a copy of the credit card slip and rental invoice from **********. Customer indicated that she will call ********** about the bill and Gateway offered if ********** adjusts the invoice Gateway would adjust the charges to the customer accordingly. * **** ******** *** **** ** *** *** ****** **** **** *** ****** ********

I recently purchased and traded in a vehicle with Gateway Toyota. They told me they would pay out my lease on my old vehicle and I would get my last car payment back in cheque form, once the lease was paid out. I picked up my new vehicle on Sept 16, and they said they would be in touch when my cheque was ready. Almost a week later I got in touch with the sales manager, **. He informed me that I had changed my monthly payment to bi weekly pymts, so they used my cheque to pay off my last payment from Sept 1 to Sept 15. I told him it was a mistake, and something was wrong. I had NEVER changed my payment dates. I had inquired about it once in the spring of 2021, and I was told NO. ** said he would call Toyota Canada himself and get it dealt with, and call me back that day. That was almost a week ago now. I have left multiple messages, and emails and no one will return them. I am beyond frustrated. I first visited the dealership on Aug 23, and signed for my Rav4 on Sept 16Business response

On Aug 23/2021 customer came in looking to purchase a vehicle. When the offer to purchase was made we ran the current lease payout and as of Aug 23/2021 the payout was 32921.99 plus 1646.10 in tax and a current payment of 555.92
Since there was a payment to be made of 555.92 including tax ** (sales manager) indicated that he would leave the payout set up on the deal at 32921.99 and when delivery took place of the new car Gateway would refund the Obligation amount difference.
On Sept 17/2021 the payout was 32527.24 plus 1626.36 in tax and a payment of 555.92 to be made. As per the agreement Gateway would offer the difference between the 32921.99 and the 32527.24 for a total refund of 394.75.
Once customer accepts this refund amount Gateway will draw up a cheque and would need a signed release form closing this matter.
I will wait for a reply.
