I gave notice on October 3,2022 that I would be vacating the unit. Called on October 17,2022 to confirm the cancellation of **** * *** and confirm the refund for the remainder of October. I was told that no refund would be issued as it was their "policy" that you can't vacate prior to giving notice. This is an absurd technicality, as it provides Bulldog Self Storage the ability to collect 2 separate rents on the same unit for the month of October, as I had vacated on October 3rd, and they could have rented it out to someone else on the October 4th. Furthermore, I was not provided a response to my email on October 3rd, so to have to wait 2 weeks to October 17th to be made aware that I would not be receiving a refund is beyond comprehension. I would like to request my refund as owed.Business response

As per our contract we need sufficient notice prior to a customer moving out of their unit, we ask for at least two weeks prior to them vacating their belongings out of the unit.
Also this customer did not have a good history of being paid on-time, we also explain to our customers that a refund is not guaranteed especially when they have not given sufficient notice to vacate. this customer came in on the day he moved out to let us know that he had vacated the unit.
Our units are also rented out on a 30 day basis so from the day the contract starts to 30 days after, there is no guarantee that a vacated unit will be rented the next day after someone has vacated, this unit is still vacant.
