I’m in so much shock! December 6th 2021, 2pm I attended a viewing for my nephew.. it’s a very hard tragic day as it is. It was held at the Edson FuneralHome. Upon entering we were greeted by tall man with white/gray hair unfortunately he did not introduce himself and I did not get his name. I now believe it to be Andrew (Andy D***).. As me and immediate family enter we were treated with the unexpectation that we were coming. I wasn’t sure why because viewings are usually unpredictable.. but this man continued to mention it making us feel unwelcome. After we remove our foot wear and we were standing in the entry for a few minutes.. I eventually had to ask if it was okay to take a seat while we wait. While quietly grieving in our seat we had the guy rudely comment again that he was not expecting us.. this behaviour was really unprofessional towards the mother grieving her son. Please note we were on time and didn’t take up much time or room and barely spoke because we were all very uncomfortable with the rude tone we just experienced. The man directing was not kind and hovered over us making us feel again very uncomfortable. At one point my sister asked him if he might know a prayer that he might share. She was rejected before she even got the words out. In a time like this a person is already vulnerable. My sister mother of deceased had some questions regarding her son and his cremation process and the man directing was instantly rude stating that the arrangements are made and that basically she to not know. Like mind blown. ?? Unfortunately i left for a moment and then came back to the director Andy yelling.. yes!! He was yelling in front of the deceased at my two sisters. Please anyone that needs compassion, love, and care in your time of grief please don’t choose this place. I will never use this company and will continue to tell my truth. Me and my family are in so much shock by the way we were treated. This place showed us no care or compassion. I’m sure of we had a bigger pocket we would have been treated differently but it shouldn’t be like that that when your loved one dies. This is extremely unfortunate and I will never have services and or any involvement with this cold establishment. Im sorry if anyone else has had these experiences.. if you have please share. This was traumatic and will not be forgotten. Andy and Kirsten D*** had shown behaviour that was truly sickening in a extreme time of need. R.I.P little big nephew u deserved care better then they showed you. I’m not from Edson but Edson deserves better then that. We deserve and decease deserves better. I really hope there is more then one funeral home for this little town. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. Jessica
