Sept 16th 2022, ***** purchased 2017 ****** Titan Diesel from us, a short time after he purchased the truck ***** brought it in as the low coolant light came on, my mechanic inspected unit and found a stick in the engine compartment, the stick had damaged the coolant reservoir and the drive belt, we priced out a new reservoir but ***** declined the repair. We did however replace the belt free of charge to help him out.
Jan 10th 2023, ***** came in for his first oil change, he brought in his 50% off coupon {which we give all customers who purchase a vehicle}, the oil change retail price worked out to $221.15 as this truck has a diesel engine, after discount ***** paid $119.26 {see attachment}. Upon oil change my mechanic noticed both CV boots were ripped and mud/debris got inside damaging both CV axles, we priced out the repair but ***** declined to repair.
Early April 2023, ***** came in multiple times as he had trouble codes showing up on his dash and radio was not working, each time we scanned the codes and cleared them free of charge but advised ***** that we need the truck in the shop for a day or two to get to the root issue but we wasn't able to leave the truck so we booked him an appointment at later date.
April 19th 2023, ***** came in for his scheduled appointment, we did multiple tests then found a broken wire, we performed the repair and tested vehicle, the codes disappeared and radio was working. The bill to ***** was $314.69 {see attachtment}.
May 24th 2023, ***** brought truck in for a no start, battery was dead we recharged so we could scan the truck, my mechanic noted that the air filter cover and tube was loose so he was concerned that starting fluid was used, starting fluid cannot be used on a newer cummins engine as it will cause issue's. After scanning and running live data we noticed that fuel pressure was a concern, we advised ***** that truck may need a pump but the cost would be about $3000 and we can't guarantee that it fixes the issue. We advised ***** to have ****** diagnose the issue as they have the specific ****** tools for an exact diagnosis. He was unhappy with our recommendation then hauled his truck away.
Unfortunately ***** declined the Extended Warranty coverage so the repair would be out of pocket. {see attachment}
