On october 31st my 2023 jetta that was purchased new in may of 2023 was at ****** km. I contacted Lethbridge vw about my steering wheel cracking, and turning my hands black when I drive. They took a look at it and deemed it "wear and tear" which is ridiculous on a car with less than ****** km. I have been trying to work with them to get this replaced for over 3 months now to no avail. They refuse to acknowledge it as anything more than wear and tear. How much wear and tear is acceptable on a car that is 5 months old? The steering wheel is cracking and leaving my hands black. The stitches are also now coming out of the steering wheel. They have continued to refuse me warranty on this issue. I harbour no ill will towards the dealership as a whole but I do want them to step up and take care of me as a customer. on their website in the about us tab they claim this:"Lethbridge Volkswagen is a proud member of the ******* automotive dealership group, a group that has built its reputation on offering quality products and quality customer service each and every day. The customers warranty claim on his steering wheel material was declined by the manufacturer, citing that it must have been caused by outside influence. The customer and I have agreed to share the cost and the replacement part has been ordered.
