I hired ***** and his crew to level my trailer. He quoted me $2200 initially, he upped that to $4000 once he actually started working and then charged me another $2500 (which he insisted on having in cash to avoid GST) for the rest of the materials and to finish the skirting. In total almost $6000 for only part of the work I was told would cost no more than $4000. That was February 14 2022, he told me he would be back around the end of May once the ground has thawed and dried to finish. He never came back. I called and he said he was busy and would be around closer to Canada Day. He never showed. I texted him several times and nothing. I finally spoke to him on November 2nd and he said he would be here in about 2 weeks as he was transporting and leveling trailers to a reservation. He again never showed. I called him on December 23 and demanded either he finish the job he has been prepaid for or I want my $2500 back. No response has been forthcoming from ***** or any agent of 2253226 Alberta Ltd. I have records and photos (some provided by his crew members) of the work he did finish as well as the E-transfers and withdrawals he was given. I do not recall being given an invoice or receipt either.

Hello, thank you for reaching to us.

I am really sorry that you haven't received your invoice and I already sent it by email again and uploaded here.

The levelling of the home initially was estimated  close to $2230. I uploaded that here. There was additional work requested by you once we were on the site. We can see that in the invoice too.

The additional to levelling the home was resloping sewer line, insulating the sewer line, insulating the water line, securing the gas line, providing the fan for air circulation, framing the skirting and applying the plywood for skirting. For all of this additional work we provided the materials and all of the work was completed on February 15.

Your home was safe and leveled, sewer and water line was insulated, gas line was secured and skirting was done. There were no complaints from you for the work performed.

Please review the invoice uploaded and sent to your email.

thank you again and have a nice day

I am rejecting this response because:

The invoice presented is fictional, I have never seen this or any other copy of an invoice. The "additional" work was not my choice, these were things I was told had to be done. I just wanted my home levelled, of which you only did the West side. The insulation , water lines and fan were all items you told me has to be done. The skirting boards don't even come to the ground and we're cut without removing the snow, they therefore are jagged and look shoddy. The invoice also shows that GST was charged, something ***** told me he could avoid if I paid cash. This invoice tries to hide the additional funds given and fails to address that I was assured you would return and complete the work I have already paid for. I would welcome an independent inspector to survey the work done in order to compare with the invoice. I have given you money for materials and labour not performed, bottom line.

      Sincerely,
      **** *****

I reached out to ***** ******** of 2253226 Ab LTD on October 5th, 2022 in order to move a park model RV I had purchased from Boyle, Alberta to Goodsoil, Saskatchewan. I sent the dimensions of the Park Model and the frame. I talked to *****'s wife on the phone on October 6, 2022 to obtain a quote. We had booked the move in initially on the 27th of October, with a chance of an earlier opening on a cancellation. This required me to put down a 30% deposit on the estimate in order to reasonably guarantee the booked moving day. This amounted to $2104.20 which was sent on October 11. The 27th was supposed to be the moving day and October 26 at 8:53am I talked to ***** saying that his truck was broken and we needed to reschedule the move. He thought either October 31 or November 1st, I was not given a concrete date. I mentioned I preferred the Tuesday. On October 31 I asked for an update. ***** called me and said that he cannot move the Park Model RV without a picker to lift it onto his truck bed and that it will now cost me an additional $3000 to have for a move for November 1st. I mentioned I have no picker to unload it and that it wasnt possible. I then said I would be going with a different company because it was evident he was not able to properly move this. He refused to give me my deposit back, stating that he had gotten his trucks ready twice when he had never even figured out how to move the Park Model up to this point. It is evident that this is bad business and unmoral. I still have not received any of my deposit back.

Hello, ***** said that he won't be using the picker truck and we decided to use a different method of loading and unloading.

We never said that we are not able to do the job without the picker truck.

So the job was still a go.

The day before we loaded the hydraulic jacks (6 of them) the plant, the hoses, the blocking and all of the material needed for this particular move. We scheduled our guys for 7 am.

At 9pm night before (after all of those was done) ***** send me a text saying that he got another company and that the home is already moved. This was as far as we are concerned a breach of contract and the deposit is not refundable.

However my husband offered $1600 to return to ***** wich he refused.

This is absolutely not legal and we demand ***** to remove e all the fake reviews

He then proceeded complaining about this company.

My husband ***** and co-owner of the business said that there was some.shop time but that we would work out a deal and get some of the deposit back.

**** day after started treating me and my husband and our business. He then wrote all over the internet untruthful things about our business and then got his friends that they were never interacted with us to do the same thing.

Last night he is threatening my husband with criminal charges.

      Complaint: 18453303

I am rejecting this response because:

I clearly provided proof that I had been told I would be required a picker to do the move and after I told them I was going to be using a different moving company. I was told about the picker after the original quote and after the scheduled move day. I would say it is highly suspect that I had given adequate notice that I was was going with a different mover and all of a sudden the their truck was loaded and ready to go even after I was never told how they were going to move it. Also I didn’t cancel 24 hrs before the move, they missed the move day twice. There is no text about a shop rate refund either and from the text messages it is obvious that I never ever said I don’t want a refund. The lies without any proof from these people is absolutely appalling, it’s a disgrace and they shouldn’t be able to operate in this manner. I didn’t threaten charges, I will charge them in court if this is not resolved, that is not a lie. I have retained a lawyer in case the *** cannot resolve the issue. I just want my deposit back for the work they never ever did, it is my money that I earned and stealing should never become the status quo. This is extremely cut and dry, it is very evident the work wasn’t performed and it’s clear they are lying. It is also clear they have kept my deposit without performing any work as their timelines are not coherent. I hope this is resolved quickly so I can move on. Thank you.

      Sincerely,

      **** ********

Hello, we appreciate your response. We are sorry you are not accepting our offer. Unfortunately between the text messages that you provided there were a few phone conversations in which you and our company made a different arrangement to load and unload the building and also agreed on a different date for the move wich eas the day after your final message where you informed us that someone else moved the building. As per Alberta law the deposit is not refundable and even so, we offered to return a substantial amount wich you refused.

We are really sorry for not being able to reach an agreement and 5gat you are not truthfull to am the phine conversations we had.

      Thank you

      Complaint: 18453303

I am rejecting this response because:

I provided ample proof and timelines of everything. You had cancelled 2 moves. I then told you that I have hired someone else to move my Park Model and I would inform you after they moved it, in case they also could not move it. I had spoken to ***** about it and I provided all the receipts. You have provided nothing of actual context and continually say things were said over the phone that are untrue. I have provided all the text messages. I had asked you to provide the law that states you are able to keep deposits without fulfilling the terms of a contract and you have failed to provide that. I have spoken with a lawyer about this said law, to which he says it does not exist to his knowledge. You have taken my entire deposit, you have cancelled 2 separate moves, I had forewarned you that I am seeking alternative movers, to which ***** said he planned on doing a site visit on the upcoming Saturday, to which I told him not to make any plans because my mover is coming on Thursday to move the Park Model. Stop consistently lying about the events, provide proof, which you have not done. If this is not resolved, and I am not refunded through the ***, I will be seeking a legal claim through the courts, after court is settled I will be posting the outcome to the *** for them to also see how it was ruled so they can, hopefully, either remove you or downgrade your *** rating, and then I will also post to all necessary outlets and places to ensure others do not have this same issue. The documents from a court ruling are public documents so there is nothing illegal about doing this. So let's resolve this amicably through this means of action or else this will undoubtably become a lot more complex, a lot more expensive and I will pursuit all charges to the fullest extent of the law. Also, use spell check, it is free, it is very difficult to understand what you are trying to convey in some of your responses and I'm sure *** has the same issue.

      Act Accordingly.

      Sincerely,

      **** ********
