The Guardian Rd store is typically a wonderful location with two very customer service oriented staff. I don’t go often for a cigar but when I do i never have any complaints...until the Thanksgiving weekend- October 10. I would like to make a suggestion. Do not make assumptions because they can come back to bite you hard. There was a different person serving customers who I had never seen before. From the Sherwood park location. She was very efficient. I walked in behind a man and waited six feet behind him clue number one. There was another person in the store waiting for something. While the csr served the customer ahead of me-additional customers walked in. When the customer ahead of me was done, the csr overlooked me standing there and asked the new customers if she could assist them clue number 2. The other customer had left the store so it was just me, the first person who was still waiting for his item and the lucky new customers who got to be served before me. The first person was looking around uncomfortably because he knew something wasn’t right. I said “I’m not just standing here looking pretty”. It was only then that the csr acknowledged my presence and said “I thought you were with the other customer” (the one who was gone already but apparently had left me behind). From there she was sweet as candy to me. Cool. You I’m black and what you did looks racist even if it was not the intention. You need to know this and be more cognizant of how you treat people. It is customary to ask a person if they require assistance when she is standing in your store, in line behind another customer and remains there after the first customer leaves and is still there before the next customer enters. Thank you
