The incident occurred on March 27, 2023 @ 02:10 pm. I filled an incident report with one of the employees shortly after I noticed the damage to the right side mirror on my brother's Volkswagen Golf while I was vacuuming the car on Clearwater's property. During the car wash, the automated system was pulling the car along, cleaning and running through its process. 3/4 of the way through the wash cycle, the automated system stopped, and an employee informed myself to double check my steering wheel, (which was straight, and following the track system). Shortly before the system stopped, the brush system that ran vertically, cleaning the sides of the car, was spinning and moving towards the rear of the car, ( I believe malfunctioned and had moved back, towards to front of the car, then towards the rear of the car. This was a short blip that was around the area where the side view mirrors are located. I had not noticed at the time that the passenger side view mirror was now flipped forward and the painted mirror cap was now broken off till I exited the car wash to finish off the detailing of my brother's Volkswagen Golf. Once I noticed the deficiencies, I noted and took photos to show the employees. They advised me to file out an incident report and that the manager would return my call to find a resolution. I contacted Clearwater carwash on a few occasions. I can email the detailed time and dates of what was discussed.
