      Would have given 0 if o could . I will warn you , if you escalate the the situation from setp 1 to 2 or 3 its the same person handling and will be same response. I would highly encourage to get work done by your builder rather then these fake people at progressive and further steps.Intially started our warranty claim with lots of promises and satisfactory statements about how our work will be done . Later work started and it was not even close to what they quoted initially. Work was done very unprofessionally by GREEN SEED DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. left our washroom door with missing hardware and unsafe state which came off the slider very next day it hung it , dint paint bedroom wall .left every work undone.*******************(Director of claims) handled our claim . He never pickep up call , answers to email after days , looked like dint read our emails and finally stopped replying by saying or contractor will contact us to finish the undone work .its been 2 weeks since he or our contractor gave us any update.**** will never listen to you and will never address you , but will always send you a s*** load of policies in email to prove you wrong .Ombudsman (at trisura if you escalate it to further steps) will listen to **** and will ignore you and anything you say or give proof I had worst experience , regret opening my claim with them . If you want proof how they harassed and left us to unsafe home . Text me , i have a full 13 page pdf made to show what a joke this all is.

      Like every home in our neighbourhood covered by Progressive our dryer vent was improperly installed and vented into the attic causing water damage. Progressive rejected my claim along with all the neighbours claims for any reason as the could come up with. For example they rejected mine because I had found the problem and chose to disconnected the dryer and stop the problem from getting worse. According to progressive if the home owner stops the problem from getting worse the warranty is void...

      We built our dream home with ************ homes **** and we had Progressive home warranty coverage. We are currently repairing our home due to severe wood rot which has caused structural damage to the studs, frame, sheath etc..due to failed stucco, improper window membrane and placement of windows. Both the builder and Progressive warranty have denied our claim. Progressive warranty has a standard form listing a variety of clauses which are not written in layperson terminology. As well, they denied the claim without sending a building expert in the field to assess the damage. My advice to anyone is to please avoid this builder and Progressive home warranty . The warranty is required but the service feels like a front for a scam business. Shop around and find a reputable and worthy insurer.

      I have had a structural problem with my new house that is supposed to be covered under new home warranty. Progressive received the Engineering report almost one month ago and they claim their insurers have not yet completed the review. I have emailed several times and called and the rep is simply ghosting me. This is incredibly poor service! I now have no option but to engage a lawyer.

      Over the past year, I have submitted claims as per proper protocol for defects on my new home, to Progressive Home Warranty for action and repairs. These claims were validated by a third party home inspector. Besides a very lengthy and difficult process to process the claims, nearly 200 items were declined to be covered for miscellaneous reasons. I am now learning after months of review, that the reasons the claims were denied were violate the related acts and legislations for new home warranty. Further, I have confirmed that most of the claims as submitted were altered and falsely filed into categories that provide for significantly less coverage than they should have. E.G. Defects in the building envelope according to legislation have a 5 year coverage period, and were submitted as such. The claims were very obvious (physical holes on the side of my house that even Progressive and their contractor confirmed as being a building envelope defect!), however they were filed under what is referred to as Materials and Labour coverage which is only 1 year. The claims were then immediately denied on the basis of being over 1 year, with no opportunity to rectify, and have immediately closed the files. Progressive has indicated that any challenge to their determination must go through a "Dispute Resolution" process in which I must hire a legal representative to review the file, hire an umpire, and basically take the whole thing to mediation. I cannot represent myself, and cannot afford to hire a lawyer to represent. I have already paid for the new home warranty, and Progressive has found ways to decline nearly 200 items within claims for falsely manipulated reasoning that is against the legislation! New Home Buyers, beware of this warranty provider!

      Hmm where to start.. Well first off we've put in a claim months ago with our insurance company. Staff had switched hands right at the beginning. Supposed employee whom taken over, doesn't respond via email and or call even with multiple messages left. Both on personal phone, front end and inbox. Unprofessional call-in center. Have only had front end answer once and take information down to supposedly pass forward. Voice message set on their end is deemed "funny" which I find one sided seeing from a home owners eyes as we've been trying to have our contract upheld when it comes to deficiencies still not attended to and corrected as stated standard coverage being a new home build. Very disappointed in lack of workmanship from builder and follow-up from our insurance company. At this point I would not recommend using progressive home warranty and to take the time in finding a company that's wanting and willing to do their job and hire staff on that actually answer their emails and calls more often than not. Just over our 1 year here and tired or the nonsense.
