After experiencing a minor flood with some drywall damage. I found this company online in August **** and contacted them and they were willing to come out to my location which was great. At first they started teardown and cleaning with one staff directing what would happen. Nothing was labeled and put in large ********* bags. He mentioned throwing some things out that he considered damaged and I mentioned to keep sentimental items. They inconsistently worked for a few hours here and there and when the drywall was replaced they cut some off the bottom and left a huge amount of dust and a mess in my basement. I contacted them to come clean the dust and they came to use "dust wipes" to "clean". All of my possessions were left in huge piles and plumbing was disconnected. They also drilled a huge hole in the side of my house for a sump pump which was unnecessary and pipes were done wrong and fastened together with straps and the pipe wasn't sealed on the outside, I had to hire someone else to do so as I was now left with damage that I didn't approve of. I contacted them again after receiving another invoice for "cleaning ". My basement was left in a huge mess and as a single, full time working parent and caregiver to an ill family member, it was very difficult for me to do fix this on my own. I also paid thousands out of my pocket, this was not an insurance claim. The response from the company was very rude and threatening via email and they refused to come back and organize my basement mess they created as they "don't do staging ". I responded and let them know i documented everything and had vidoe surveillance and pictures of the mess they left.My family was left with severe damage to my house, my drain pit, compromised air quality, and a large mess that I cleaned myself as I couldn't afford to hire another company. I also purchased an air purifier and air quality monitor which read more normal after my hours spent cleaning. I would advise to NOT CONSIDER OR HIRE!

Your location is 2 hours away so for a typical workday only that day was spent on site. You were unable to find anyone to come to your location, we came because you had 2 young children and a husband that was coming home from surgery, and we knew we could help. Our site supervisor repeatedly told you that all fabric items should be disposed of because of the mold. You opted to keep these items, so they were bagged without labeling for you to go through on your own. You were told they needed to be bagged to not spread contaminants inside the home and to go through them outside. We do work around customer contents, but they had to be moved to the center of the room, so the work areas were clear. The perceived dirt/debris left was new drywall dust which was Hepa-vacced and wiped with ********* wipes which are sanitizing wipes that were used so there was no cross contamination. Before detaching any plumbing, you were informed all supply lines would need to be reinstalled by a plumber at your cost. The hole on the outside of the house was larger than the pipe to have the proper angle needed for drainage. There was still sealing and insulating of the hole and securing of pipes needing to be done on a separate trip.We also photo document all jobs and have before and after pictures. You paid your invoice for the mold cleanup and drywall installation with no mention of the issues other than wanting extra cleaning until it was time to invoice for the sump installation. If there were issues as stated why were these not brought up or addressed before payment? The sump installation was a secondary quote. It was a verbal quote over the phone that you then stated you never would have agreed to. We can only assume that these complaints were then an attempt to get out of paying for legitimate work done. When we showed up to do the final sealing of the building and securing of pipes on the sump a new lock had been installed on the gate and after our last email from you that had taken a very threatening tone we took that to mean that we were no longer welcome and as you had refused to pay for the sump install we did not return and ceased contact.

In December 2022, water seeped through the ceiling and skylights in our bathroom, and by our fireplace. The Insurance adjuster and C&N Property Restorations manager toured the house to assess the damage. Soon after that, a demolition crew came and tore up walls and ceilings in both rooms, removed tub and plumbing connecting the shower to it. De-humidifiers were installed in both places. Weather warming and freezing, things were put on hold. One employee came during that time to check the situation, and eventually the de-humidifiers were taken away. Weeks later, scaffolding was set up to repair the roof above the fireplace. But the scaffolding remained and appeared to have been forgotten. Then many weeks went by and there was no contact from anyone, no communication whatsoever. Excuses: sickness, emergencies, etc. We waited. Weeks turned into months. Finally, a different worker arrived and started to repair the living room ceiling and some dry wall. (We mentioned the scaffolding to him, which was still sitting in the back yard in the spring. Within two days, it was then taken away) Then, he started not showing up more and more frequently. Sometimes he would call and sometimes not. Again, excuse after excuse from the managers. It is now August 2023. The last we heard from the young man, he was shopping for bathroom replacement tiles; he came to show us some samples. Then nothing We still dont have a fully usable bathroom, though the huge hole in the living room ceiling has been properly redone but drywall in both rooms has not been touched. There are still many company tools and implements sitting around that spell neglect. There appears to be no end in sight; there is still the bathroom ceiling to rebuild, drywall to complete and painting to be ************** to be re-connected. We have absolutely no idea what lays ahead.

The damage to the home was created from a roof leaking doing internal damage to mainly the upstairs bathroom and main floor ceiling and the walls surrounding the fireplace. Along with the roof leaking there were soffit and facias flashing damaged by the wind. Unfortunately, internal repairs could not be done until the roof and soffit were repaired. If the cause of the damage is not fixed the same damage will occur again. It was necessary to wait until spring for the roof and soffit ************* the repairs were completed, we left the scaffolding in place while waiting for the weather to make sure there were no more leaks. The scaffolding systems can be complicated and this one was particularly challenging as we needed to reach the height around a deck and a sunken basement entrance. At all times the basement entrance was always functional and accessible, and eventually the scaffolding was removed, not affecting their daily lives. The internal repairs would take numerous days because of all the steps involved with drywalling and painting. The high humidity of this house caused the steps to take longer as the drying between coats took longer as well. The painting to match what they had was a 2-step process, again taking longer than typical to match what they had. During the job the homeowner decided to change their mind about the window finish, going from a wood trim to a drywall finish. This started the drywall process over again, adding more time to the project. There was also the issue of finding matching tiles that were acceptable to match the existing dcor. We went to ******** 3 different times, each time returning to the homeowner for their approval. The house currently has 12x12 tiles which are not a popular product anymore, with most suppliers offering 12x24 tiles. Once the correct tiles were found they needed to be order and shipped from the east coast of ******. Unfortunately, we found during this job that it is quicker to get tiles from ***** than it is from ******.We understand the frustration of the homeowner, but certain things are out of our control and sadly we ran into many of those things with this project.

Our insurance company (Wawanesa) informed us and pleaded with us to not use this company, do to them not being a preferred vendor. (And now I know why)We chose to use them, because we called them right after we notices our flood in the basement, and my husband worked for the company. The demolition crew were amazing! They were there within the hours, installed dehumidifiers, and a number of fans. Thats when the good service Stopped! We contacted the insurance and C and N on May 8, 2023. And it is now July 14, 2023. NOTHING has been done since around May ***** when they gutted out basement, removed all our belongings and placed them in a C-can in our back yard. ******** has tried a number of times to contact SOMEONE in regard to the reports that are needed to move on ****, with no ********. The adjuster and I finally did a surprise conference call with the owner to find out what the holdup was. She blamed 2 other employees and stated that she thought that the reports were already sent. Then again, I contacted the owner, on July 10. 2023 to find out why NOTHING was happening an no communication? After being screamed at by the owner, nothing was resolved. On July 11, 2023, my husband was let go from the company. The reason was "If you divorce her and move into your own place, there will still be a stop here waiting for you. I wish I would have talked to people regarding this company before hiring them. Cause after talking about our experience, it's amazing how many people have had horrible experiences or know someone who has had bad dealings with this company. This was our first flood. And first and last time dealing with this company.

When an insurance loss happens it is understandably distressing. The homeowners desire to be first to have their home put back together must be tempered with the understanding that others have had emergencies also and the putting back together after a loss takes much longer than the clean up and drying out.The emergency clean up must be done immediately to mitigate the damage to the home. After the emergency portion is done, it is a process that takes time to itemize what damage occurred, what was done on site and what will need to be done to put it back the way it was to pre loss conditions. The estimate is built and submitted to the adjuster, the adjuster and then a reviewer go over the estimate and then go back and forth with the estimator for any revisions. This process can take weeks prior to any approvals for any rebuild work.Your husband being let go was due to our being given irrefutable evidence of his theft from a convenience store, with his picture prominently on the wall. We have a copy of the surveillance video picture and have talked to the convenience store management. As we are a bondable company we can not have an employee that is even under suspension even if charges have not been brought. This incident with the convince store was recent, within the time he was employed with us. It was also found that he had added personal charges into purchases on our company accounts. The statement that "If you divorce her and move into your own place, there will still be a place waiting for you" is false. As we have proof of theft his being welcome back would never be an option.
