    My experience with Neels Heating and Supplies was terrible. I went to Neels for advice on my 30 year old furnace which was working intermittently. I was told to proceed with new parts and was overcharged $2,000 in fees for repairs and parts while I am now left with a completely dysfunctional furnace. The company refused to service further after I had complained and asked for a new technician. Then they accused me of refusing to purchase a new furnace - like they had stated they had recommended - which they never had done. I had told them the age of the home and furnace and that Id rather buy a new furnace than parts if that was the best solution. Their technician had went ahead with repairs that cost me nearly half a new furnace. As a single mother I feel very taken advantage of. The service and work completed was unprofessional. The electrical wiring work was very shoddy. Neels offered a $500 refund, which I refused because I am taking them to small claims court. To recap:- I was provided with poor service and bad advice - the technician put the wrong blower motor in, and charged me for the second visit to install the right one - the electrical wiring work done is a shoddy, unsafe mess - the manager falsely accused that I refused to purchase a new furnace, a bold lie. I've been replacing appliances steadily with high end new appliances over the past 7 years - Other heating companies told me it should not have been so expensive to fix had I chosen that route - Other heating companies told me that the work done looked unprofessionally completed by untrained persons - Im left with a dysfunctional furnace, in worse condition possibly than before No reasonable person would spend $2,000 on parts to maintain a furnace when a new furnace is $5,000. Im now purchasing a new furnace with a different company like I should have in the first place. This business had a good reputation before, now under new ownership. What a sham!

    It is very disheartening to have to respond to such an allocation. We take pride in our service at Neels Heating and are thankful for the many customers that have complemented us on such. In this particular case as noted by ****** the furnace was 30 years old and not typically something that we would recommend spending to much money on in repairs. The start to this incident began in Dec 20, 2022 when while out of town the furnace stopped working at the home which she rented the main floor out. She contacted our office to do an emergency service and get it running for you tenants to which we did. January 17, 2023 we were notified (nearly a month after) we were notified that the system had stopped working again. Our technician was able to get it running but told her that additional parts would be needed. We needed to source the parts and provide estimate on repairs but recommended at that time she may want to consider replacement. ****** did email us requesting a quote but after coming into our office in rage due to time delay opted to move forward with the parts knowing the costs at that time. Parts were installed and all was good unit April 5th. (2.5 months later). The matter got out of hand with demands or refunds for work that had been done and to provide another service technician as her trust had wavered. We could not accommodate this and again recommended a new system. This brought *************************** to threaten and abuse our staff with wording such as get your guns out i will be coming for you. This was not okay with us here and Neels Heating and we recommended ****** find another company. We offered a $500 refund as a courtesy at the time but she opted to not take the refund and pursue social media defamation. In May ****** filed a claim with her credit card company and all funds were refunded to her. She has no bases for a claim with small debts court as no payment has been made. It is unfortunate that some feel the need to defame others in a pursuit to get something for free. We stand by our work and our decisions with ************************** and hope that our current and future customers can see that we were justified.
