Last year June we went to a Little Dolphins Daycare to register for my daughter to start in Sept 2020. But because of covid we didn't end up going and told Gloria (the owner) that we would hold off until covid gets better. During these time me and Gloria have been texting back and forth. But I never said we are ready to send my daughter to the daycare. So she never ended up going. My daughter is going elementary in September, so I texted Gloria to get a refund she never replied. So I called her today and she said we won't be getting a refund nor transfer the $690 to my younger son. I told her I will file a complaint and she said go ahead and do whatever I want and hung up.

Avoid this daycare at all costs. They overcharged me for an extended period, contrary to our agreed contract. I have proof in the form of bank statements showing they charged me twice each month, in addition to receiving monthly government assistance. When we requested a refund for the extra charges, they expelled our children from the daycare, forcing us to find another daycare at additional cost within the same month. The owner, ********, is deceptive and engages in dishonest practices to exploit customers. Furthermore, the ******************** fails to provide adequate services for the children, and the management is extremely rude and unprofessional.

    Little Dolphins Daycare Response

I,*******************************, one of the directors of Little Dolphins Daycare ***** wish to hereby make the following factual statement backed by documentary evidence and facts to clarify ambiguities surrounding the disputes Mr. and ***************** have brought up against us. Put more clearly: This is concerning our interactions with *********************************** and her spouse ***************************** and her other family members as it is related to the incident of Dec. 14, 2023 and the circumstances that gave rise to that incident.

************************* (the son of ***********************************)was enrolled at our Daycare facility and started attending Little Dolphins Daycare as of September 2021. ******************************* enrolled him and signed the contract with us. ********************** was in charge of the totality of her family's affairs as it pertained to us.

****** was very happy that she enrolled her 2nd. son ******* with us when he turned 30 months old. *****************************, ******'s husband, is the father figure only as far as we were concerned. Since his wife ******************************* had signed all the paperwork, he had no reason to get technically involved with us in contractual matters. ****** had signed for a pad agreement for which he was paying monthly fees.

As our relationship grew, we received a number of text messages from ********************** encouraging our staff for their good work, an indication of her good satisfaction with our services and how our establishment was being run. She demonstrated unequivocal signs of happiness and pleasure and on many occasions she verbally expressed her gratitude or conveyed them via text messages to us.

******************** started attending Dolphins Daycare as of September 2023.

in the month of October 2023, we were notified by our bank that *************************************** monthly tuition fees had bounced for September and October. On Oct 5th. 2023 we kindly asked the client to make her payments so their child can continue enjoying our daycare services. However; ********************** refused to honor the Agreement and decided not to make her payments for September and October 2023.
****** made mention of their accounts being in arears with us but he brought up so many excuses not to pay.

Our contractual provisions stipulate that when client payments get disrupted or bounced for one reason or another, and they do not pay their monthly tuition fees when asked on due date, we would not admit their children to our facility's premises until they bring their account up to date in addition to a $75 penalty/NSF/chargeback fee for each bounced payment.

Since ********************** refused to comply as requested, Little Dolphins Daycare assigned their file to the collection agency for recovery of funds.

After so much persuasion by the ***************** agents, Ms. ********************** to bring her account up to date and made her outstanding balance payments for September and October ******************************** the amount of

After this outstanding balance issue was resolved ***************************** comes into the picture.

**************************** who only looked after the pad monthly fees up until this point shows up at our daycare facility door on December,14, ******************************************************************************************************* front of the daycare premises using foul language with full disregard to any children that might have been present in the vicinity.

I,as one of the directors of the daycare facility was at the entrance tending my other clients' needs when this happened, and as soon as **************** started yelling and screaming I personally got on the phone and reported it to the Coquitlam RCMP for them to show up at the scene and take the situation under control. ************************* caused immense stress for the children and the employees by his crude demeanor. (RCMP's file is still open).

When the Police arrived, they put ************************* on restraining orders and advised him not to get near the daycare owners nor their facility whatsoever.

I,as the owner and operator of the Little Dolphins Daycare facility hereby request the Better Business Bureau to oblige ***************************** to provide any proofs/documentary evidences of any kind for his allegations against us. We would be glad to see what he has and respond to each and everyone of them.

Why did Ms. ****************** the amount she was asked to pay to the collection agency if she truly believed we have overcharged them? This is a clearcut evidence that she honestly believed she could not win her monetary claims against us in court and that her credit rating would plummet for this unrefined behavior. She then decided to settle the matter in a different fashion.

As of today Ms. ******************** owes us $150 for the 2 bounced payments while she is putting out lies and false information, slandering Little Dolphins Daycare through ****** reviews portal on July 18th 2024. This couple must be held legally accountable for their spreading of lies and misinformation to the public hurting our business. We are currently discussing our options with an attorney regarding suing ****** and Monazzami couple for libel and slander.

We are not pleased at all with this family as we dearly and honestly served their children at our facility for such a long time, only to face their unappreciative demeanor, gossiping and hurting a business whose primary goal is to help the community grow and raise better children for our city's future. The destruction of our image done to an honorable business and disrepute us in public's view is a heinous act that must be confronted  without delay.

On our final note, we would like BBB to formally request **************** and ********************* to list all the family's grievances against us in clear terms that make legal sense and that ensure those grievances are within the bounds and the framework of their contract with us. We would be glad to see such a list and make good on any bad promises , living up to our unfulfilled contractual commitments if any whatsoever.
