We contacted proper roofing in November due to water staining on the ****** on the side of our house. Proper roofing came out and they indicated the problem was due to excessive moisture in the attic that was dripping down on to the ****** from inside the attic. We scheduled another date for them to come out to fix it. They recommend and installed 2 roof vents to fix the problem and also a drain down spout at the back of the house on about Nov 08, 2023. We paid them with a **** Card for $913.75. They were at the house for 2 hours only and installed vents and material worth $200 at most.About a week later it rained again and there was a lot more water on the ****** on the side of the house. We called them again and they came out after we had to call and email them repeatedly! They sent two workers out again and inspected the roof on Dec 02, 2023. They then told us their vents were not working. They checked the attic and said it was soaking wet! and very bad! They told us we need to install special vents in the ****** and it would cost **** dollars.We had our insurance company send a remediation company out that day and they inspected the attic right after proper roofing left. They said the attic was almost dry and completely not soaking wet at all. We then had 3 other roofing companies come and examine our roof and attic in December. Each roof company told us the problem was a leaky roof and the special ****** vents were not need and $**** vents would not solve the problem and would be a waste of money. Each roofing company said the problem is a leaky roof that needs to be replaced.Proper roofing 1) Did not determine the cause of the leak 2) The products (vents) and serviced did not resolve the problem 3) The deceived us by saying the attic was soaking wet when it was not,4) They overcharged us grossly for the work done and materials 5) They made it appear the attic was in bad shape due to the moisture 6) They tried to sell us on $**** ****** vents afterwardBusiness response

I've attempted to upload the pictures and notes multiple times through the BBB website, but I couldn't succeed.
As seen in the provided pictures, numerous areas in the attic were found to be damp and wet, and extensive photos were taken by the company technician.
Proper Roofing Ltd performed three different types of work: fixing a gutter due to leakage, installing a downspout at the back of the house due to the absence of drainage and water not flowing correctly, causing overflow, and installing an air vent due to high condensation, as depicted in the sent pictures.
For all the completed tasks, the customer was charged $913.75. This amount covers three entirely different jobs carried out based on the customer's request.
Upon our inspection, the attic is wet in various areas, and it is noteworthy that the opinions of other roofing companies about the attic being completely dry, without leaks, raise questions. If there were no leaks, why did those companies identify the issue as a shingle problem, stating that the attic was entirely dry?
By examining the sent pictures, it is evident that various areas in the attic are wet, and the probable causes include the solidity of the ******, inadequate air circulation in the attic, leading to condensation.
It's worth mentioning that the company charged the customer only $200 for installing the air vent to prevent condensation, not the full amount of $913.75.
