    Great Canadian oil change/ Damage to my truck Left ****** Saturday morning of Dec 16/23 Stopped for oil change approx. 11:00 am- cost- $513.77 112345 km on my truck Left Cranbrook after oil change, got 7 kms out and blew rear diff , drive shaft, transfer case. Lucky no one was hurt as the back end of my truck left the highway, I gained control and pulled over to the shoulder. 2 cars behind me stopped, everyone freaked out but ok, found half of my driveshaft only Waited 2 hours on highway for tow truck cost -$198.58 Towed truck to Outlaw Adventures for repair Stayed at the *************** for 2 days waiting for Manager or Great Canadian oil change to appear on Monday cost $183.28 plus meals. Talked with ***** the Manager Monday Dec 18, said his crew did everything correct, I disagreed, he said he would pay for a car rental and labor to fix my truck. I disagreed again saying that if I had not stopped here, I would be in ************ now. He told me that the oil was warm, not sure what that meant, but was not told at the time of oil change . I agreed to his terms that if I found out why this happened, he would pay for the rest. He found a used rear end and drive shaft in *********, paid for my car rental and I left ********* headed back to the farm for Christmas as I just wanted to get back on the road, 2 days wasted.Left farm Dec 26th, made it to ********** 27th, received a call From ***** at Outlaw Adventures that driveshaft was the wrong one and no correct ******** available in *********. ******* and I made numerous calls for a driveshaft in **********. thought we found one, measured it and it was short as well. ***** said a chance it may show up on the 28th.I picked up the correct oil 2 liters cost-$133.73 from *********** Chrysler in ********** Made it back to ********* Dec 28th, driveshaft did show up before I got there, they added the correct oil. **** for a test drive with one of the mechanics, he was worried about the transmission as well, but it seems to be fine. I left back to ****** cost -$3547.20 parts only. Sent ***** the owner an email requesting payment and his response was they did everything correctly.Received a quote from SMP ****** for replacement of parts and labor. **** told me that an anti/spin additive is required on diff oil change. quote $12,481.85 This additive is not on Great Canadian invoice. Feb 2nd notice a noise from front end, taken to Western auto wreckers, they change the front dif, which they think damage was caused same day dec 16th/23 Cost $1606.51 My truck was running perfectly before I stopped for the oil change.Total cost out of my pocket so far $6183.07
