Have paid over $9, ****** to this company.Please see documentation attached; there is more information, but this essentially captures it. Originally I was requesting refund on the bathroom that needs to be taken apart and rebuilt (originally paid $3,150) but am also requesting $400 for the closet as that was never finished either. Flooring incorrectly installed but will not pursue damages if repaid $3,550.Business response

I ***'t Know where to begin so $3000 for the bathroom was for exactly this we had a conversation about it installation of tub and surround, toilet install and removal, vanity install and move drainage and remove and install window, hang drywall. nothing more!
now i did a bunch of extra work removed dropped ceiling and drywall that was not removed installed base board , wainscoting, moved kitchen door, removed base board , removed sub floor all at no cost to the customer!
now in the begging of all this when i went and looked at the job we discussed that everything was moving and unlevel and that she needed foundation work which she explained she could not afford so we would proceed which was fine i understood where she stood financially.
now i still ***'t know what to say! I have ***e about $3-4000.00 extra work at no cost to the customer which I am still ok with because of her financial situation.
Any leaks were reported with in a day because we check before we leave and we inform the customer to check daily for up to a week because the can show up after regular use and we went and repaired the next day.
I have reached out to her on more than one occasion but never heard back until this email!
i really ***'t know the reference to the $10,000.00 was not about the quality of work it was a discussion between friends of all the extra work and her concern and myself wanting to set things right and waiting for reply as we had been friends for months as to why i know about a lot of her financial situation which is why i did a lot of the extra work for no charge to the customer.
I have offered to rectify issues but she apparently would rather do this instead. I have waited weeks on her replies and other work she had to get *** including having a room mate that did work for her that she had to redo.
really a lot of this i ***'t want to expand on because it was a lot of discussion between friends and i have no animosity toward her and still understand her financial situation.

I am rejecting this response because:I moved here October 31, 2023, and ******* Plumbing did the galvanized pipe removal and replacement. At no point was I told to "check for leaks". That job was paid for immediately. This was also the first time I ever met *****************. So I'm not really sure where he's saying he started all this "doing favours for friends" - I had never met this person prior to November 2023.
Next was the floors, and because of the age of the house, this is correct - I didn't care about sub floors installed. I'm talking about the way the flooring was laid - which my original submission (which pictures) clearly lines out.
He admits to the tub and tub surround installation - perfect. As seen by the pictures, it is completely destroyed and I will need a new tub surround, new drain lined up and installed and the showerhead/faucet placed correctly. ********** is assuming a deflective gaslighting position that is sad to see.
If I was "so broke" why did he get paid immediately (in fact, ahead of time).
I had spoken with ********** about a refund for the bathroom prior to submitting this complaint. He assured me (multiple times, on multiple issues) that he would come and "fix" what he built or installed poorly.
Attached are a few of the dozens of discussions had between **********. and myself. I just want my money back for the bathroom or I will take it to court.
My sister AND my brother-in-law were present for discussions had between myself and ********** - as well as his assistant.
