During the second week of August I reached out to Armour Overhead Doors for a quote on a door for my shop. I received a quote for two different types of doors. I went into the company to order the door and pay a deposit on Aug 30th. I confirmed colour and dimensions on September first. Unfortunately I cant locate my original copy of the order, but it stated a timeline of six to eight weeks. Colour to follow.Three weeks later September 22nd I received my invoice wrong colour, with deposit info, stating that I would be contacted when the door arrived for install. Then nothing.November eighth I reached out to the company to confirm they ordered the right colour a requested a timeline of the door. It turns out that the door still was not ordered on the eighth. On November 24th, ******* the door factory sent me an email stating he never ordered the door until November 10th. **** reached out in an email on November 14, saying he didnt have an installer. I asked him why it wasnt ordered in September when he had an installer. No answer to that. Very long story short I sent **** a message to let him know I was coming in to get my deposit back. I went into ******** yesterday and listened to a few more tales from **** then I got a refund cheque off of him. I stated I was headed straight to the bank to deposit it. Went to the bank to deposit the cheque, did my errands and came home. I dont have a phone. So I get an email when I get home that I should go back to his office to get cash because his bank account is overdrawn. I wont be wasting anymore time or gas on a chance he might have cash.Figured Id reach out to try this before heading to my lawyer..
