I hired repair medic to look at a problem with my range. He diagnosed two faulty switches for the elements. I also asked him to look at the ice maker in my fridge. He told me that they only last a couple of years and then have to be replaced. He said that there is a class action law suit against the maker and that it may take up to four months to get a replacement. I said to order me two so I could have a spare. He charged me, in advance, for the two switches and two ice makers plus the installation of said items. A short time later when I was cleaning behind my fridge I noticed that the fridge was in an air tight cabinet with no ventilation for the refridgeration unit. I cut a vent hole in the cabinet by the condenser unit. That night I kept hearing a crashing sound through the night. In the morning I found that my Ice maker had started working. I called Tony to tell him and he said that it was a fluke and the ice maker wouldn't last a month. When he showed up three months later he changed the switches and was about to change the ice maker when I told him it was working fine. He pulled the ice bucket out and dumped a full bucket of ice cubes into my sink and then pointed to some frost on the bottom of the maker and said that this was a frost free fridge and because of this frost the ice maker was no good and had to be changed. When I told him that he wasn't going to change a functioning ice maker he got really upset and insisted the ice maker was faulty. When I told him ** *** *** **, he yelled at me , grabbed his tool box and his apprentice and stormed out of my house, yelling over his shoulder that I would be calling him within a month. Not very professional. He still owes me for an installation he didn't perform. The ice maker has been working fine since June with three defrosts since then. There may be a problem with the ice maker but with a little effort it's not a big problem.
