      My daughter,******* *****, signed up for a 2 year gym contract on August 8, 2020 at the South Surrey location. The expiry is August 7, 2022. The membership got transferred to the Kelowna location since she attends school there. My daughter contacted them on Friday July 29, 2022 to inquire about wanted in cancel her membership when the contract expires. She was told that she was not able to cancel since the end date is now November 7, 2022. She asked for an explanation how it got extended and no answer was given. I, as her mother contacted Anytime Fitness on Saturday July 30/22 to ask for an explanation and to demand her membership to be cancelled according to the signed contract. Dylan the employee there stated that he is not sure why the end date is not August 7/22 since there is nothing in her file stating anything different. He said he would contact anytime fitness Human Resources. He called me back on Sunday July 31/22 stating that her membership was extended to now October 1/22 since her account had been previously frozen?? I explained that she has never froze her account and has never been notified that it has been extended. She has bank statements verifying that she has been charged monthly Dates seem to keep changing about the end date of her contract and it is not appearing to be legit. We are wanting her contract to be honored and for her membership to be cancelled as of August 7/22 without any penalties.

      I Signed a contract to use their gym when I was 17 years old. About half way through they changed the terms of the contract. I did not agree to the change of terms in the contract and told them I did not agree and would rather end my membership than agree to the new terms. I was told I still have to pay for the remaining time in the contract despite not agreeing to the changed terms and despite not being of legal age to enter the contract when it was first signed and did not have a parent sign for me. I have tried calling and they refuse to call me back. I have attended the business and they refuse to talk to me telling me to pay or it goes to collections.
