West Coast Decks provided us a deck approximately one year ago. In the months that followed, many, many message attempts were made to try and get repairs made to the deck. A visit was made in Sept 2022 where a couple minor issues were rectified but major issues left unfixed. Product provided shows heaving planks, sinking planks, broken retaining clips between planks, non-straight cut planks resulting in non-square deck surface, some poorly mitred corners (where the triangular points of the planks should meet, but instead being uneven and sticking away from each other), other non-mitred corners leaving unfinished deck edging visible instead. Footings were dug but not backfilled, leaving open pits around the deck that ultimately I had to bring gravel to backfill myself after once forgetting about the holes and stepping off the deck and ripping my ankle open in the hole where there should have been lawn. We were quoted $10,000 labour plus some materials to rectify issues by another contractor.
