On August 13, BBB contacted Digital Freedom Movement about the claims of a program that are "90% done for you" and the earning & lifestyle claims in the introductory webinar. Digital Freedom Movement offers an affiliate marketing program. Affiliate marketing is a sales program where commission is earned by the advertisers (called affiliates) of a product or service when it is purchased after the buyer has seen the promotion created by the affiliate. Online affiliate marketing is most often seen on social media, where ads contain an affiliate link that tracks which ads a viewer has clicked on. If the viewer subsequently purchases the product or service, the affiliate is paid a commission. The affiliate also gains information about which ads are successful with which demographics. This information can help develop high conversion ads for targeted demographics.
According to Digital Freedom Movement this program is based on a sales funnel comprised of selected products with a high commission items and targeted ads that have a high conversion rate. Most affiliate marketing programs make similar claims about their programs. They clarified that the range of earnings were from $200 to $10 000 a month. According to Digital Freedom Movement, the earnings range is dependant on "the members ad budget, time and effort." The webinar focuses on how the program can let you fire your boss, and travel the world while working from your phone.
Digital Freedom Movement states they "provide all members with their sales funnel, ads, email marketing, an automated bot and also follow up with their leads. Which is what takes up 90% of the time running a business online. So what members need to focus on is the 10% which is mainly placing their ads online." They did not provide any information as to the time these tasks take. BBB was not informed if new business owners are given basic information about registering a business, developing a business plan or taxes.
Digital Freedom Movement sells its program via affiliate marketing. When asked about the affiliate marketing, Digital Freedom Movement stated that 25-30% of its members were marketing the program and that more than half of the members purchased the program from affiliates.
