On September 21st 2022, I went to Shoppers Drug Mart (20151 fraser highway) I spent 100 dollars on a ******’s gift card. I was actually checked out by an assistant manager who failed to check that it was a fake gift card with a sticker covering the barcode. When I tried to use my gift card at ******* (not knowing it wasn’t a valid one) I was told it was fake *** ******** * **** ****** *******. The workers are failing to check to see if the gift card numbers match up. I then went back to the shoppers where it was originally purchased. The manager working there told me there was nothing they could do. I was told to call their main line to get my money back. I was then instructed to email a photo in of the front and back of the gift card which I did send. I have followed all the steps and even emailed them twice and I’ve heard nothing back. I am beyond frustrated that it is almost November and I still haven’t received anything. I’ve just called today to ask what was going on and they told me the case was closed, after we had emailed and did what they asked. They said now the case will be reopened but If I didn’t call back we would still be stuck waiting for a reimbursement that wasn’t coming. This is so wrong to buy a 100 dollar gift card from a business and then to be sent on a wild goose chase just to get the money back. * **** ** ******* ******* ******* **** **** **** ***** ** **** ******** ******* ** *** ****** ** *** **** **** *****
