    I hired Kezzia Crossley to illustrate my children’s book. She agreed to several terms on how we would proceed, and asked for $ up front. I thought it was odd to pay up front, because every other illustrator I had ever worked with, had never asked to get paid until a percentage of the work was completed* *** * ****** ************ ****** * ***** *** ** ***** ********* *** I paid here $566.00 in advance, but as soon as I did, communication dropped off and she began violating the agreements of collaboration. So after two weeks of not receiving much communication and her refusing to follow the agreed upon collaboration, I simply asked to be refunded because it is clear we would be unable to collaborate effectively from that point. She had done zero work and *** ***** ***** * ********* *** ****** ****** ***** **** ******* *** she refused to refund me, getting angry at me for backing out. ** *** ***** **** * *** * ****** ** * ***** *** ******** She told me what I wanted to hear to get me to pay her, then she just did what she wanted. * **** ******* ***** *********** ******* **** * **** ****** ***** *** **** **** ** **** ***** ***** *** *** ******* ******** *** ** ***** **** *** **** ********** ***** ***** ****** ** ****** ******** ** ** ***** *** ******** ** ****** ** *** *** ***** *** **** *** **** ***** ******** *** **** **** **** ** ***** ** ************* **** ******** I pleaded with her to just be considerate about it. * *** **** *** ***** **** * *** *** ** * **** *** ************ *** that I was taking a chance going forward with this book considering my situation. The fact is, she has $566.00 of mine, and I have ZERO work to show for it. *** ****** **** ***** **** ** ******* ****** *** ** ****** ****** * ******** **** **** **** * *** *** *** **** **** *** **** ********* Well she has not completed any work and the agreed upon timetable has passed. ********** ******* * ****

    This case has been closed by ****** after they have reviewed all relevant information. The decision was on my favour as he breached contract. I had gotten repeated *********** * ***** ********** emails from him which were quite concerning. It is unfortunate that people like This exist where they think they can hire professionals and back out without payment. This is why ALL professional Illustrators ask for a deposit, and thank goodness we do. ************** ** **** *** * ********** ** ******* ************ ** ** **** *** **** ****** ******* *** ****** *** ****** **** * * ***** ***** **** None the less, I am Very fortunate that I use ****** which secures my and my clients money. As mentioned above , clearly what Mr **** is accusing me of is wrong, as ****** has seen all documents and sided with me.

    Miss Crossley Replied with this, but she may want to check back with *** ***, because they just just sided with me and refunded my $566.00. Apparently they were just waiting until the period where Miss Crossley had to deliver work had passed.
