I went to Mr. Lube on January 3rd 2024 to inspect a tire leak. Their employee took the tire off and suggested to replace it as the leak is unrepairable. Then after putting the tire back he said one of the lug nut is stuck and cross-threaded and i need to take it to a mechanic to extract it and replace. He said it with an ease as if its a minor error. I took the car tot he dealership and they said it will cost around $1400 as its not gonna extract easily, there is a possibility of exterior damage while extracting the nut. I even checked with another mechanic shop , they also said it will cost around $1000 or more. I called Mr. Lube and talked to to the manager Mr. Paaven/Paaben. He denied to take the responsibility of this error and said the nuts must have been placed incorrectly by the prior business who installed the tire. How can that be! Mr. Lube employee could remove the tire to inspect and they did this damage when they tried to put the tire back! This is completely unfair for me to pay this huge repair cost on my own for Mr. Lubes error. Mr. Lube didn't provide any resolution, instead asked us to look for a cheaper mechanic. Mr. Lube should take the responsibility as cross-threaded nuts are caused by forced removal or installation of the nuts and Mr. Lube should pay for the repair cost.

On January 11th, 2023 at approximately 5:11 pm, I brought my 2018 **** ** ****** to Mr.Lube on 20719 Lougheed Hwy., Maple Ridge, BC. I was looking for a price on how much a brake job would be because I knew they had to be done and I was about to sell the ****. They said the oil change was due even though I had, had the oil changed 3 months earlier. I said ok do the oil change just in case it needed to be done. When they were done the break job and oil change, a man who said he was the manager told me everything’s done but they didn’t have the sensors for the breaks. So he said it might be fine but if a check engine light comes on just bring it back the next day and they will fix it. As I was on my way home a check engine light came on. At this time, Mr.Lube was closed so I figured I’ll just bring it back the next day. The next day I started my **** ** and a new warning came on saying shut off your engine immediately, engine oil pressure is low. So I turned the car off and called Mr.Lube. The technician that answered the phone told me that I should go get **** oil from ****** and put it in and turn it on, to see if the light goes out. So I got a drive from my daughter to ****** and got **** oil. I came home and put the oil in and turned it on, the warning lights didn’t come on this time or the check engine light. I called the technician back, told him the warning light went off and he said to drive the **** back and he would take a look at it. As I was driving back a light came on saying check oil level but when I put check engine oil levels on the dash it said unavailable. When I pulled in to Mr. Lube Maple Ridge, the technician popped the hood and as he did that the warning came on to turn the vehicle off because of low engine oil level again. He said just wait a minute to turn it off and looked under the vehicle. He came back and told me to turn it off now. He then told me oil was dripping out the bottom of the **** very fast. He started doing some work under the hood and when he came out he had the oil filter in his hand and looked shocked. He then said the oil filter gasket had been faulty and all the oil drained out. He showed me the oil filter with a black rubber ring on it that was broken apart. The technician then said he will put a new one in and refill the oil and it should be fine. So he started doing the work and when it was all finished he said OK you can take it home now everything is done. As soon as I pulled out the car started making noises and stalling. I rolled right back into the mechanic bay and the technician said turn the car off. I then asked him if it could be the break sensor they told me about? He answered “ I only know how to change oil, I don’t know anything else” he told me to leave the vehicle here over night and **** home. The technician said his boss would be in, in the morning and would figure it out. So I called an **** and headed home. The next day I didn’t hear anything from Mr.Lube in the morning but got a call at approximately Friday the 13th of 2023 at 1:15pm. The man on the phone identified himself as the manager of the Mr.Lube and said the vehicle was all done and to come get it. But when I got there he said they couldn’t figure it out but it was drivable as long as I don’t go over 2000 rpm and I should take it start to **** to do a diagnostic test. So I called the nearest mechanic that does work on ****’s at **** ****** ***** Auto Repairs. **** ****** ***** Auto Repairs is approximately one block away from Mr.Lube. They did a diagnostic test and believe the timing chain skipped a link due to low oil pressure, low quality oil or no oil in the ****. The mechanic then told me it could be 8000-15k to fix and even at worst possibly need a whole new motor. They said Mr.lube needs to fix this and to take it back to them. Mr.Lube has so far done nothing but delay me. I also took the **** to **** **** and he said the same thing. Take it back to Mr.Lube, they need to fix this.

Without Prejudice, The Maple Ridge Mr Lube location committed ***** ****** ******* me during an oil change. My radiator fluid had been serviced very recently by the OEM (**** **** ******) whom did a very thorough and competent job. Toyota used OEM Coolant part number *********** for their service when my vehicle reached 324k kms to flush and replace my radiator fluid. The coolant they used was their long life coolant. When I went to the Maple Ridge Mr Lube location they ********defrauded me when my vehicle went in for an oil change at 339K kms in order to increase the bill by adding a service which was definitively not required for my vehicle under materially false claims they presented to me. During the incident, Mr Lube employees presented falsified information while making false and deliberately misleading claims stating that it was absolutely critical for my radiator fluid to be immediately replaced. They also added that my power steering fluid needed to be replaced and broke my radiator cap while refusing to replace it unless I agree to the radiator fluid flush. The cap was broken by an employee whom I witnessed tugging on the cap inappropriately. During the oil change Mr Lube employees falsified a fluid pH reading in front of my eyes and I noticed. I then proceeded to demand they test the new fluid which they had just put inside my vehicle using the same testing device and the reading it displayed matched the original OEM fluid's specification. I complained to the manager after paying for the full bill with no resolution. As a result Mr Lube successfully scammed/defrauded me by pushing their coolant flush service under a false pretext using false information/deceptive techniques with intent to lead the victim to believe the service was required when in fact it was completely not necessary. I demand a full refund of $275.49 plus sufficient compensation for damages within 5 business days.
