    This company operating as RGM Hauling were hired to take our car from BC to Nova Scotia. We asked if they could take some belongings and they said no problem. The next day we get an email telling us we lied about the amount of contents. But I couldn't resolve it as they already set off from the yard. They left our car behind in BC and said it would be shipped when they can. Long story short, what was supposed to be delivered in 4 days took 4 weeks. During that time many of our items were smashed and broken. We didn't know where our things were and they would only respond to emails when we said we were calling the police to report theft. Then they nearly $2000 on the bill for "extra work" . The manager became very aggressive, demanding money from us and *********** to hold our things hostage. She said I also mislead them about the delivery date. I have both the instructions foe delivery and detailed instructions about the household items set out in emails to them but they won't even acknowledge they recieved them. By some luck we managed to get our things off the truck before the balance was paid. Even though they have a no pay until customer satisfaction policy she demanded half or we wouldn't see the truck and demanded the other half before it was unloaded or the driver will leave. They are now *********** to put a lien on our vehicle. **** **** * **** **** ** ******* **** ** * ****** **** ***** **** *** ***** ** **** ***** **** ****** *** **** ******* **** ** *** ***** ******* Them they hold your things hostage.

    This compliant is a complete false of the actual truth, this customer ******* us and failed to pay for the services provided. He **** about the amount of stuff he had to move, so our quote was much lowered than the goods he actually had. He had more than double the volumes. Unfortunately this meant we had no room left to move his car. He is also had firearms and ammunition in his stuff which was found during the transfer of his goods in ON. We contacted the police and reported him. He put not only our drivers safety at risk but also our company license and business as we are not licensed to carry or handle firearms. He has complete disregard for our company and ****, therefore his shipment became the least priority to us at this stage we debated whether we should handle it any further once this was discovered. The customer was also made aware the delays well in advance that he could make other arrangements if he wanted, but he choose not to do this ad ** *** **** ********** ** *** ****** *** *** ******** ********. Our rates are based on services and distance not timelines, Ed do not guarantee delivery dates. We are proceeding legally, filing a lien on his vehicle for the unpaid charges. We are also in contact with the RCMP in regards to his mishandling of firearms and further legal actions will be taken against him on this also. We have transported more than 3000 vehicles, recreational vehicles, people’s personal belongings and even their pets. ** *** ** *** *** ***** ****** **** ** **** **** **** ******* He **** in order to save a few dollars, we did a lot of work that involved a lot of labour he isn’t willing to pay for, he had other options to move his vehicle sooner but choose not to, therefore the delay in delivery was the result of his own doing. We didn’t need to hold his property ransom as wE have the legal right to place a lien on his vehicle or property for services provided and our lawyers are in the process of doing so,

    In response to RGM. 1. **** ABOUT AMOUNT OF STUFF: RGM maintain that I said a 5x5 storage locker when, as provided to them, my email CLEARLY states 10x5 plus the things already in the garage. RGM had the opportunity to question this with us when ,1, they loaded it and ,2, before the stuff left their yard. Yes that is correct they put our things in transit BEFORE they called us with the issue and extra charges. 2. CONTRACT I never signed, or was given any sort of contract, just the agreement that our things would arrive ON the 2nd March. There was no discussion of no delay guarantee. The company then accused me of misleading them about the delivery date stating inhad told them anytime BEFORE the second. Again, I have email proof that I said ON the second as we would not be in Nova Scotia until then. 3. NOTIFICATION OF DELAYS RGM never answered a single call or responded to a single text or voice-mail, and there were many sent. I have many emails to RGM pleading for information about where our shipment was and a delivery date. The only time they answered was when I emailed and said we had no choice but to contact the police to report our car and things stolen. 3. FIREARMS & AMMUNITION There were no firearms in the shipment. That is a false statement. There was less than half a box of shells found inside a box of clay pigeons. The box of clay pigeons was taken from a separate pile of things which they were instructed not to take. Nevertheless, the shells inside the box was a total accident *** *** ****** ******* * ***** ** *** ** **** *********. If I was transporting firearms I probably would have put the rest of my arsenal in there. The fact that I gave them the keys to my gun safe and proved it was empty speaks volumes. The keys were *********** snapped when delivered. They keep referring to a contract that was terminated yet they have still failed to supply me with one. Also there is zero record of a conversation about termination of said mystery contract. 4. PAYMENT We had just moved from BC to Nova Scotia with * children. That is why we needed our vehicle on the second. I was only there for a short period before I had to travel for work. We had to extend our vehicle rental to 13 days because my wife had no vehicle for the children and RGM would not answer my emails pleading for information. RGM subcontracted the delivery from Ontario, that is where our belongs were left and the car was still in BC, and demanded payment upfront. We were not willing to do this because of the non communicative and unreliability of RGM. I did conceed to a partial payment with the rest payable once unloaded, belongings checked and car milage checked. RGM demanded payment before it was unloaded and we declined. Fortunately the driver didn't work for them and was more than happy to unload the things. He also provided pictures he took of all the damaged items he found when he picked up from Ontario. Because the vehicle was not delivered on the 2nd March, arrived almost 4 weeks later, we charges them for 11 days vehicle rental. We did not charge them for the smashed and damaged items nor the insanely extensive delay. As per there policy we didn't pay the full amount because we simply were not satisfied. We also never acknowledged the validity of the extra almost 2k charges they put on. We have since been hounded by this company with ****** ***** ****** causing untold stress and anxiety for my wife and children in Nova Scotia alone. We have been to our lawyer and ******* ** and been told **** **** ****** *** * **** ** *** ******* ** ******* *** *** ********* ** ********** *** **** ***** ** ** ****** ******** ** ************** ** ***** *** **********. RGM said there services did not cover delays or damage????!! The difference between my account and RGM's is I can provided proof of every statement I make because I have it in email and text message. I am more than happy to recieve your legal action but please be ready for a counter claim against your company.
