My problems with this company started from the day I phoned for an estimate. The rep. cancelled the appointment for personal reasons. The next appointment was late due to traffic.Arrangements were made for a fellow to come by and confirm her measurements. The fellow never showed up although there was 3 of us in the suite at the time. I later learned that he said no one was here so he was not able to measure. I was ready to cancel my order at this point as my frustration was growing. The rep assured me she would have somebody here on Monday am to confirm her measurements and I could cancel if things didn't work out. He did show up and took measurements that proved to be incorrect.In addition to the missing hardware, the blinds were not wide enough allowing light in and people on the outside to see in. The blinds have a wand of which one works in reverse. The blinds have rolled up and across the rod to the other blind on the sliding glass door. I have to position a room divider in front of the blinds for privacy at night. They unravel onto the floor and go up when pressed to go down. There are no coverings on the bedroom window as they were disassembled for the new ones that did not fit.The installer came back the next day to hang the other blinds and they had the same problem. The installer was very apologetic because he could not complete the job. The installer also stated that the blinds were inferior. One could not help but notice the blinds are defective and have since wrinkled and creased and pulled. On July 17th, I sent an email to Budget Blinds stating that I did not want the blinds replaced or repaired as the product is of very poor quality. I did not hear from them again until August 3rd when they stated they were coming to complete the install with the new replaced products.I again stated that I wanted a refund and the order cancelled and to send all communication be sent by email.I received a reply from Budget Blinds stating that I was responsible for the payment of the blinds and that they would be coming out to finish the job. This email was from ****, the manager who just so happened to be the same guy that said there was no one here when he came to confirm measurements. It seems **** wears 2 hats (maybe more). I have paid the company ****.. plus as a 50 per cent deposit on blackout blinds. When the installer arrived with the blinds he was unable to hang them due to lack of hardware and the product not being wide enough. I am stressed out with this company. The products are of poor quality and after what I have witnessed with my own purchase. The blinds for 3 windows is over 3200,00. I am requesting that my order be cancelled and my money refunded and that they are not able to charge me the balance.i cannot send pictures at this time, as I am not sure how to do it. I am 74 years old with comprised health conditions. Please let me know if you require further information so I can get one of my caregivers to help me. On August 17th, I forwarded an email requesting a copy of the contract. I have not heard back from them. An earlier email that was sent to me by *******, the Budget Blind rep. includes the blind costs, but there is no signature on the paper. I do not have any copy of the contract?I would like to warn other potential customers that this is definitely a company to stay away from. The same fellow that was supposed to measure the blinds and did not show up is also the manager of the company. It is **** that was supposed to confirm measurements and never came to the house because he said no one was home. In fact, there were 3 people in the suite at that time. Obviously, ****, the manager, is not telling the truth. **** also denied all my concerns including his no-show to measure the windows. It is also **** that .sent the email stating I was bound by the contract and they were going to get their money.Thank you for your help in this unfortunate matter.
