On October 30 2021, we received an email from Kitra saying they will match our competitors quote to the penny ($5,367.25 plus Tax) for lacquerpainting our kitchen cabinets white. I agreed that they can proceed based on the quote agreed upon. First payment (30% down paymen) of $1,690.68 was paid on credit shortly after. On December 20, 2022 they took the doors for spraying and the actual work commenced on January 10, 2022. Start of work payment of $2,817.81 was paid on January 11, 2022 (Total of 80% of the cost was paid) On January 17, most of the cabinet frame was completed except the wine rack which needed to be redone. He said another painter will be sent to finish the job. Subsequently, 3 attempts were made to finish the wine rack without success. On the last day, the painter accidentally sprayed paint on the wall, the door frame, the carpet & the dining room table base. He did not tell us and without our knowledge, he tried to scrape the paint off the carpet which left gouges in the carpet. They are irreparable. He tried to use solvent to remove the paint from the table base and he ruined the paint on the metal table which is irreparable. The owner, Anthony, got the wall and door frame painted but he has refused to discuss any compensation for the carpet and the dining table. We have tried to contact him many times but he has completely ignored us. We have no contact from it at all. The job is incomplete & my carpet & dining table base have been irreparably damaged.
