Full kitchen reno completed by Century Cabinets (North Vancouver location) completed spring 2022 (last payment sent May 17/22). We hired them to re-do the complete kitchen and manage the project and all contractors and paid a total of $33,958.16. Project handled by Robert at Century. Nov 5/21 we noticed a crack in the countertop and reported it with a photo to Century. Dec 2021 after a couple of follow ups by us, Robert (who handled our reno) dropped by to look at the counter, put some ***** glue on it. We asked for warranty info and said we’d follow up again in the new year if we don’t hear back. Jan 10/21 followed up and rcvd response Jan 11 saying they will send fabricator to take a look. Jan 19 @ 1pm fabricator visited (I think his name was ***** **** ** *** **** *** ******). He put more ***** on the crack. Said the product is *** ***** and he would follow up with them to see what can be done. Feb 17 I called *** ****** and he said it’s with the supplier to deal with and he’d call to follow up. Mar 13 I followed up with Century again since no one had called me back. Mar 14 Was advised Miles from *** ***** had tried to reach us and Century said they’d have him call again. Mar 15 Miles called and we found out he’d texted our land line twice and then gave up (we never had a missed call or any messages). We made ourselves available and he came that day. He took a video and said the counter doesn’t have proper support which led to the crack and said he’d follow up with Century re: resolution Mar 16 Century emailed to say the tech implied a false statement, to be patient and let them find a solution. May 8 I emailed to follow up since I haven’t heard anything since the last email on Mar 16. We lack trust in Century Cabinets and the quality of their work and would like to find our own contractor to fix the kitchen and have Century reimburse. Attached: copies of emails, photo of crack Nov/21
