I paid this company (Aic Communications **** on September 6, 2023 for their telephone services (local and long distance calls) with an annual payment of $107.73. The telephone line has been dead and not working for several weeks now. I have tried to reach out to them ************ ******************** and going to their physical store locations and have gotten no response. Their physical stores no longer exist and their customer service lines are not working (no one is picking up and I have tried calling them during their stated operation hours for several weeks now). I find this to be irresponsible and unacceptable. There was no notification from the company (whether it is through the phone, email or physical mail) regarding this inconvenience. I would like a refund of my money and be voided from their contract due to their incompetence and negligence to their provided services whether it is their customer or telephone (local and long distance) services.Initial Complaint

I signed up for digital telephone service in 2015. Free rental equipment required a $60 deposit. Service contact was renewed as recently as July 2023.AIC served notice dated December 15th that they will discontinue service at end of December 31st 2023.They aren't responding to inquiries on prorated refund for balance of contract. Nor did they info on getting back my refundable deposit their two retail locations have closed.Only means of contact are by phone or email.Initial Complaint

Hi ***/*****,I am writing to file a complaint against AIC for discontinuing their business. They are a pre-paid type of home phone service provider at BC. We got an email on Dec 15, 2023 about closing down their business at end of 2023, effective Dec 31, 2023. in their email, they didn't talking about anything about the refund. we paid $105.31 for next year services, plus $2.93 credit from overpaid fee in past. They didn't mention anything about.I have attempted to resolve this issue with the business directly, but have not received any satisfaction resolution. all their published phones ended up with voice machine. i only got an email reply saying they will provide more details later. now year of 2023 is running out. i haven't got any update after few following up emails.I'd like to request that Consumer Protection BC investigate this matter and take appropriate action to result it.
