    MetroBC HVAC Ltd. damaged my fireplace while cleaning and inspecting it, they now refuse to communicate with me, repair the damage, or refund my money. MetroBC HVAC Ltd inspected my gas fireplace on 14th December 2022. I booked and paid for a routine inspection of the gas fireplace, to have it cleaned, and to investigate a sound that the fireplace made while in operation. I paid $198.45 for this service. Before the technician arrived, the fireplace worked well, but made a faint noise when turned on. Since I have never owned a gas fireplace before, I decided to have it checked. The technician indicated that the sound was not a problem. He performed the cleaning but, afterwards, had great difficulty reigniting the pilot light for the fireplace. After he left, the fireplace would not function as normal. It will now turn on for about a minute, then there is an audible click and the whole system shut down, including the pilot light. I attempted to contact MetroBC HVAC about this via phone call and email. My voice messages are ignored and not returned and there has been no response to any of my emails, or complaints on ****** reviews or ****. I believe that the technician has damaged a component in my fireplace while cleaning it and the company is ignoring me in order to avoid taking responsibility. This has left me to deal with a cold apartment and high heating bills during record low temperatures in the winter. In order to settle this, MetroBC HVAC should repair the damage they have done to my fireplace at their own expense so that it works as it did before they interfered with it as well as refund me the money for the initial inspection to compensate me for my high electric heating bills.
