      Universal Restorations PG came to my home because water was left on and a sink overflowed in a top floor bathroom of my home. One employee set up 5-7 fans and two dehumidifiers in my home that same afternoon. The area to dry and test was max 100 sq ft. 2.5 days later removed the equipment and said someone would be in touch to repair two baseboards and out some foam back under the carpet of my sons room. The damage was really minor as we caught it very early. I did file a claim with my insurance company but because it was minor the adjuster said it may not be worth paying the $1000 deductible. We waited over a week with no response from Universal Restorations company, after multiple attempts to find out when would fix it. Finally they advised me that it would be cheaper for me to find another company to do the finishing work to repair things. The case manager, Raynel, said over the phone that the work to date was approximately $500 but that she would try to get it as low as possible. After confirming this, I cancelled the claim that I made with our insurance because it was less than the deductible. I then receive an emailed bill for $1,352.45. I replied to the email asking for an explanation as to why the cost was almost 3 times what the estimate was. I explained that I could understand a couple hundred more but not almost $900 more. I requested that Rayne help me remedy the situation or pass me along to someone who could. I received email from Duane who said he would call me on the Monday to help me resolve my concerns. I missed the call and he left me a voicemail on the Monday as promised. A few days later, which was Oct 25th, I left Duane a voicemail asking him to return my call.I fid not hear back from him and then on Nov 12th, I received a past due notice for $1,352.45. That day I emailed Duane asking for him to call me to discuss the situation but I have yet to receive a follow up call. On Nov 18th I received another past due invoice dated Oct 12th.
