We were told any home built before 1985 needed an asbestos test as there was moisture damage to the basement wall that we needed to repair. When the contractor arrived, instead of waiting for the results of the asbestos test, he put up drywall on top of the existing drywall. Then we received notification that there was no asbestos. We also asked for a mold sample because that could potentially creep through the drywall. So far, we are not pleased that our concerns about mold and asbestos have not been properly dealt with. We approached this company because the name suggests, "Drywall Medic" to appropriately remove and repair. We could have done this job ourselves but we thought we would act in good faith and approach a professional. Our impression is that they wanted to rush this job by not taking the time to find out the results of these tests.
Their superior customer service involves deflecting our concerns aside by saying that we have a new wall. If they had just waited for the results to come back and did what needed to be done, we would have been much happier. Instead, we will never recommend this company and the only positive so far is knowing that there was no asbestos in the wall.
