On June 22, 2023, Opel Containers came to the attention of BBB. At that time a consumer reported on our BBB scam tracker. The consumer allegedly ordered a shipping container. He sent half of the payment via e-transferred, "$1600 to Alvina Pui Shan Ho and to pay the rest on delivery". The consumer did not receive the shipping container.
On June 22 and July 4, 2023 BBB contacted the company to obtain updated information including a contact person, their start date, a brief description of products or services they offer, and any current licensing they have in place. In addition BBB also requested confirmation of their physical locations and mailing addresses, including their Head Office. BBB was unable to find any registrations for the business located in BC, Ontario or in NJ that are listed in their website. BBB also requested clarification on their refund policy if a customer purchases a shipping container through their company.
Based on the information detailed above, BBB cannot state with confidence that we have a clear understanding of the business (model or practice). BBB has not received a response to our request for information.

BBB also contacted the business regarding its website claim, "Masters in Containers manufacturing and Distribution with 25 years of experience and 10+ awards!". The ad failed to state the basis for this award.
