I contacted Western Fence & Gate Ltd on Sept 13/22. Spoke to Naveed in sales. I wanted two solid fences 39"x30". Two picket fences 31"x30" and two narrow railings 7&9 ft. Johal came to measure. I paid a deposit of $1.400 so fabricator Art would come to measure. The owner Masoud came instead of a fabricator. He wrote measures on my paper then took pictures on his cell phone. He came again with Art The fence was too short & measure wrong. He stormed off saying he would return the deposit? Both visits were not scheduled. Art the fabricator came on Oct 12/22 and measured. Oct 20th fences were installed by Art and installer. Put in backwards at owners' suggestion. Masoud pulled me aside to pay the balance of $3.400. Fences were not yet installed or approved. Masoud then stormed off yelling he was putting a lien on my property and calling his lawyer. Went back to see fences installed. Changed backwards fences but it left holes in fence and siding. The solid fence is not even with the other side on 4x4 post at basement entrance. Interior of solid fence is 38" not 37" touching cedar siding. My neighbor Ron noticed they were not level from his kitchen window across the lane. I asked accounting for a hard copy of invoice with 3 different measures included. Naveed put in the mail Oct 28/22. If not paid by Nov 4/22. threat of lien. I never received it. Since then none of my emails or calls were returned. I called owner Masoud today Nov 16/22 to come look at fences. He refused & was putting lien on property. at the end of this month. I said remove the fences he refused to do this as well. He then hung up. Masoud is not willing to resolve this problem. I feel bullied and threatened I then called the BBB for help. I am willing to give any information you require. Western Fence & Gate was hired to install solid fence & gates at **** ********* request. We took the measurements and installed as per our quote. **** gave a cheque for Deposit.
At Western Fence 99.9% invoices are emailed., but **** requested a hard copy mailed to her. A hard copy was prepared and Masoud said he will deliver it by hand and get the payment at the same time.
Unfortunately, **** is not satisfied with the work, we cannot find anything to rectify to satisfy her. According to our installers the job is done absolutely right. But still to resolve the matter Masoud (The Owner) offered $500 courtesy discount to ****, which she did not accept.More than 45 yeas in Business, Western Fence have very many happy customers in Lower Mainland and We take pride in that.
