Daytona Motorsports in Vancouver was my shop, because their service at first was great. They did a great job getting my 2004 **** *** ready to ride and had it fixed up quick, and I have no complaints about 99% of the staff. They know their bikes and accessories. Now on to Fenton A*****. I had my bike picked up by Jay in the service dept. after I ran into the back of a lady that stopped at a green light on a wet day :( Fenton told me that it might take awhile to fix my bike, but that it would be easy work cause it was basically just cosmetic damage. I made sure that he had my **** info and estimators phone number. Now for 6 months he lied to me, telling me that he sourced parts from another bike and that he was gonna work on it on weekends, cause he knew it was my primary vehicle for work. He never contacted **** or submitted pictures and quotes. 6 months he had my bike and finally I had had enough, because it was costing me money for my bike insurance plus paying for transportation, and the loss of time when he would tell me bike would be ready. I told him right from the start that if he didn't have the time I would take it to another shop, but he assured me time and time again that he would fix my bike. The second last time I went to the shop I told him that I was taking my bike cause I had had to postpone my final road test twice and had enough of the lies. He assured me that it would be ready the next Wednesday. So stupidly I agreed. I showed up on Wednesday after work and met him on the loading dock and when I asked where my bike was he hung his head and said it wasn't fixed. The parts wouldn't fit. ***** you are a motorcycle shop and you couldn't figure that out ahead of time? He offered to order the parts. I asked to see my bike, and when he took me to my bike, there it was exactly as I had seen it after the accident, only with a layer of dust on it. They has done nothing to my bike. So I took it elsewhere. DO NOT BRING YOUR BIKE HERE FOR REPAIRS.

I dropped off my 1974 ***** **** for repair to Daytona Motorsports (Vancouver location) in early March 2020. After sourcing and supplying the new transmission replacement parts costing over $600USD myself in June 2020, as they did not seem bothered to do so, the motorcycle was reassembled and ready for collection 11 July 2020. Payment was issued for the repair at this time. After my partner took the motorcycle for a quick ride behind the shop to make sure it was OK to ride, there was a distinct crunching of the gears. They took the bike back into the garage and said he would look at it. A few days later, it was again ready for collection. Again we test rode it behind the shop to make sure it was safe to ride on the road. There was a loud thumping noise from the engine. I requested a refund and was refused, so my only option was to wait for Daytona Motorsports to repair the motorcycle as he said he would. About 6 weeks later, I was informed that the main shaft and the low counter gear had been damaged. The low counter gear is a discontinued part and despite months of research, I was unable to find a replacement. This rendered the motorcycle irreparable. The only solution was to have the part manufactured for $1500. In September 2020, I gave a deadline of 15 November 2020 for the motorcycle to be repaired. Daytona Motorsports claimed to have located the discontinued gear and that it should have already arrived. On 27 November 2020 I visited the shop as I expected progress. There was none and Daytona Motorsports was unable to provide any confirmation that the gear was on its way. Nor had they ordered any of the other parts to complete the repair. As I had completely lost confidence in their ability to complete the repair, I again requested a refund for the $1145.08 paid in July 2020, to which he agreed. I also requested a refund of the damaged gear I had purchased for $175USD (+Shipping and import tax) and was given an additional $200CAD towards that. I emailed Daytona Motorsports on 4 December 2020 to request compensation for the damage to my motorcycle as a result of work they had done and there was no reply. I contacted ******** (a motorcycle repair shop) to get an assessment of the damage, which was considerably more than was indicated by Daytona Motorsports. As they failed to reply to my initial email to discuss compensation, I consulted the ***** ********** ******** and put in a claim. ** *** ** *** ***** * *** ******* * ******** ***** ******* ******* *********** *** *** ****** ******* ******* ***** ******** ** **** ** *** ***** ********** ********* ******* *********** *** *** ** ***** ******* *** ** ** *** *** ****** ** ****** ***** *** **** **** ** *********** ******* *** ********** ******* *Note the Vancouver location is owned by the same family as the Surrey location.
