My ** Dryer is showing a D80 error which means there is is 80% restriction in airflow. I have contacted our supplier ****** *********** and they in turn have had a licensed technician come to our house on Tuesday September 28th. He did the following - Pulled the unit to make sure there is no debris or buildup in the vent hose, - Checked the unit itself for physical or internal damages. - Checked my lint traps and inside to make sure it is clean - Ran tests to see if there is airflow His tests have shown that there is poor circulation and ventilation that is causing this error and is potentially a safety hazard. He has recommended that i contact our builder/contractor who did the work to check it over and correct. I have on numerous occasions sent texts messages and Bill is not only slow in his responses but is not attempting to come and fix the issue. I have asked 4-5 times to come and correct but does not respond to my requests. This is a safety issue and we are very concerned

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Day and Knight were hired for my new home build back in 2019 as per the contract i sent you.   They were hired to install all of my ventilation, piping, heating, cooling and plumbing.  Home completion was this year in March.
      - They did not supply the appliances, ***** ********** delivered and provided them.
      - My dryer which was still under warranty was displaying a D80 error sign which means that there is a 80% reduction in airflow . ***** ********** had sent their technician already and they looked at the unit which was in perfect condition.  They checked the machine itself and they also ran tests of the airflow of the ventilation and they confirmed that the piping is not providing alot of airflow.   They told us that we should contact the Contractor that did the ventilation to re-examine everything and correct any deficiencies.
      - As it was determined that this is not a dryer issue, Day and Knight ( Bill who is my contact during my home build ) needs to assess himself and fix the problem which is causing the D80 issue.
      - This issue is not only resulting in our dryer not performing properly, it is a SAFETY Risk as this can result in HOME FIRES.   This is why the Technician is asking the contractor ( Who are the ones that are ultimately responsible for this) needs to correct this ASAP so that it does not cause any fire risks or damages to the dryer unit.

Day and Knight continues to stall and tell me that this is a unit issue which i have explored this and it was determined that it is not a Dryer issue at all.   I am fearful that this can result in a major safety concern or incident which I am prepared to escalate further if they do not address this immediately which can potentially result in costs incurred by both sides.   My solution to this results in 0 cost which is to have them come and assess, address and perform corrective action. To me this seems very irrational and unprofessional for a company to not provide this follow up service when their own warranty clearly provides this service.

      Sincerely,

      ****** ***

Hi. As mentioned several times, we are not complaining about the dryer. The comment about this happens everyday is a general and vague comment that does not result in solution. Merely stating that i should accept as is which is not acceptable as this is resulting in poor performance and a fire hazard. Day and knight are to provide after service as per warranty of my new home build. Is this not the reason why home warranty and warranty is in place? As mentioned, lint traps are completed and cleaned every usage. This is verified by ** themselves as they have taken the time to come on site. DAY AND Knight have yet to do that at all. I will not pay for additional services when day and knight have not conducted thier due diligence which it seems apparent that they will not fulfill thier promises. My proposed solution is easy, come here and check everything. Not coming to me is an admission that they are not willing to be cooperative. If this does not get resolved and this request is not fulfilled than I will be going to legal to resolve. This seems like the only solution if they do not come here as ** has already done thier due diligence. It is not a dryer unit issue.
