  On May 17, 2023 I engaged this company to specifically do my crypto taxes for me and transferred a total of $4593.75 for the work which was billed at approx 40 hour at $125 per hour plus taxes. ************************************************************* This is a copy of the contract I was sent to sign. I hired this company ot file my taxes for me specically the crypto portion. At the end of it I was provided with a summary report (based on the requested documentation requested by *************** the accountant who I corresponded with primarily through email). I provided all the documents as requested.In January 2024, I received a letter from the *** requesting more information as they did not understand the crypto reported as business income and referred to the accountant I hired. I sent the report I received from Forte and all the supporting documentation but they rejected it and sent another letter to me in March 2024. I sent this letter to Forte and they told me to contact my crypto exchanges but I already did that back when I provided the original documentation and sources for *************** to use in the first place. Forte refuses to take accountability and is now resorting to emails like Please do not imagine thing from your imagination factory I stated that I paid them $5000 which is a round up from the $4593.75 and *************** sent me a very nasty email trying to dispute this including good luck with the ***

  We accepted the work assignment from Ms. * to prepare a crypto tax report. Our responsibility was limited:
  Compile a crypto tax report based on around ****** lines of transactions.
   - Ms. * accepted the report
   - Ms. * made payment.
   - Ms. * declined our tax filing service.
  
  Accordingly, once our task was successfully completed. We believed the contract to be closed.

  I think that Ms. * may be unaware of the details of filing personal taxes in ****** and the rights and obligations of the individual in filing a return.

  I am rejecting this response because:

  1. I actually requested that they file my taxes too but somewhere along the line it seems they told me their tax guy is not familiar with TurboTax

  2. The final summary document provided little info and the 1/2 hr call with ***** was unrecorded but her brusque manner and lack of explanation was subpar and downright rude in all ways. The disrespectful insertion in their response of I think that Ms. * may be unaware of the details of filing personal taxes in ****** and the rights and obligations of the individual in filing a return. displays their irrelevant assumptions and less than professional attitude and is what I had to deal with from this company - as is clear also from the attachments in my original complaint here with ***************. I sought a full service accounting service including the filing when hiring this company but this was not made clear that they did not have a person to files the taxes for me. *************** and *************** lack in clear and thorough communication to the client whether unintentionally or out of deception, and the final number provided in that excel document was not file-able. At the time I inputted then numbers provided by the report *************** spat out, it was not accepted and I had to amend the numbers based on a phone call with Turbo Tax agent. This is why they should have the done the filing themselves and it is not clear why they did not as this is what I thought I hired them to do, too.

I actually would like a total refund at this point as the final numbers were not accepted when I went to actually file the income tax myself via Turbo Tax and they offered no help regarding this (see email where it is clear I needed help to do the filing too) but they suddenly didnt know how to do the filing. 
  

  3. Their website states that they educate and help the client understand their income taxes but this was not my experience with them at all / they were impatient, brusque incredibly stingy with their time and provided little to no explanation as to what was happening other than requesting documents from me. The result is now the *** is requesting more info and although I sent all the documents I sent to ***** they rejected it and now *************** and *************** are all like oops well we cannot help anymore? It is my belief that they did not do proper work and the *** does not know how they came about the numbers and they cant seem to back it up either. I want a full refund and I need to hire another accounting firm that will provide me with proper service and professionalism so I can clean this up and  have peace of mind which these people at *323035343235373233* did not provide me
