If I could pick zero stars I would. This organization is completely corrupt and has so many things wrong with it. Major prejudice issues coming from the staff. Especially if people from out of the country come in. Youll doubt yourself that its happening even though things dont feel right because you tell yourself that staff are supposed to be professional and be unbiased and that its supposed to be. Safe place for woman to go to that are fleeing abusive relationships etc. but the truth is that its just as bad ! My belongings were stolen multiple times from my bedroom and the staff did nothing. They actually took sides with the people who were from out of countrys side. Saying they didnt know English and that they just of not known better. But in truth its just avoidence from the staff. Another time, the staff member called me black sheep when and stared at me with a smile in the most passive aggressive way. This was said when my stuff was stolen and I confronted the people who stole it, I was also the only one there from ****** and felt that her comment was 100% racially motivated. I felt bullied and ganged up on and too uncomfortable to even come out my room. This kind of behaviour from the clients is one thing but from staff id mind blowing and traumatic. The Elizabeth fry society needs to either be shut down or have their employees retrained or re-hired because its completely the opposite of how staff at a womans emergency shelter are supposed to be! We are vulnerable woman and children that need a safe place, space and people to be around after coming out of h*** It made me think this world is sick and twisted having the staff do that. Do not go here if you are looking for a shelter or somewhere safe. Theres a lot of corruption. Some I wont even say because its just too ridiculous to type. For people who are unaware of the signs to look out for to find a safe place, I will give you one, read this believe it and dont go here !!!!!!
