January 28, I reached out to Patrick S**** via ******** messaging about doing a short animation for our business.He said they could do an animation. On Jan. 30 he sent me an example of an animation his company created. He said he would give us a deal and do the animation for the deposit amount of $1000.00 CAD and sent the following invoice. July 29, his assistant, Justin D**** said they were working through our story boards. August 10, I followed up on the animation timing. Justin replied August 10 that they were very busy but put a high priority on ****** project. August 18 Justin said the animator had cracked his wrist, which was slowing everything down. August 25, I followed up with them. Justin replied that the animator was returning the following week. September 11, I followed up with them on the timing. Justine replied that they have been working around the clock and were eager to get an update to us. September 29, I followed up again on timing. October 1, Justin replied he would provide an update on Monday. October 5, Justin asked for clarification on some info I had provided. October 6, I provided that clarification in an email. October 20, I hadn’t heard anything and followed up again with them on timing. Justin replied the same day that they were in heaving production and said they owed me an update. October 30, I followed up again. November 2, Justin replied that they were sorry for delays and Patrick agreed to give us a refund. I replied the same day that yes, we wanted a refund. November 13, I followed up on when we could expect the refund. Patrick replied the same day that they had already spent well beyond the $1000 provided. He said he would provide a bank draft and asked who to make it out to. I replied same day to make it out to **** ********* ******** ***. Patrick replied he would send it as soon as he was able. June 11, 2021, my finance team advised they had not yet received the refund.Business response

My apologies that this reimbursement had slipped through the cracks.
The funds will be sent within the next 30 days - although we did spend far beyond the $1,000.00 provided, the client ask/creative scope was far greater than the budget provided.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution, reimbursement for the full amount **** paid - $1050.00CAD, within 30 days, is satisfactory to me.
