I had approached direct current in regards to a pattern and pair of sample shorts for a clothing line I was starting. I made a initial payment to them which was over 400 dollars.it’s been a back and forth dealing for close to a year, some issues being my fault producing fabric which they felt was not appropriate for my application. I delivered fabric which they felt was sufficient for my application. Again it’s taken forever to get her to produce a simple pattern, and sample, timelines always changed with the excuse they were booked up solid till July/August.I kept bugging and pestering to get a sample to view. Finally last month I was told a sample was sewn and that I could pick it up. Shortly after I was told this I arrived at direct current to pick up the sample. Approximately a year to get to this point. Cyndi did not seem to pleased to see me as I had not booked a appointment. I was invited up to view said shorts. Needless to say I was not very impressed workmanship mediocre at best. We spoke and she indicated additional charges were due and expected. I was quite shocked and unaware, I questioned for what and as a example she stated a employee having to walk from downstairs to upstairs etc. I left and felt Cyndi was very unprofessional in her dealings with me.shortly after I received a invoice for close to 500 dollars. I was shocked and confused. Average cost to make a pattern 150 dollars ,average cost to make up a sample 200 dollars tops. I politely responded to her invoice and declined to pay what she was asking. She was trying to charge me close to 1000. Dollars for a pattern and sample. After she sent the invoice she passed the charge through my card, without my authorization. I filed a complaint with **********. She is holding my fabric, notions, and sample shorts as hostage and stated unless invoice is paid she will keep them. I would like those items back.
