Worst "education" experience of my life. If you are considering going to hair school, don't let Blanche's reputation fool you. They pool all of their funding into advertising NOT educating.They are a privately owned for-profit business under the guise of a school.Do your research before choosing a hair program, and go for a less costly option, the quality of education will be the same as Blanche Macdonald, if not better.Blanche uses the ********************* method, which is available at most other schools for essentially half the price. I would also urge anyone interested in hair styling to try an apprenticeship first. You'll learn more, make money faster, and save tens of thousands of dollars.I attended the full time professional hair styling program from 2021 - 22 and spent 23k. I didn't learn how to cut hair, and most of the hair knowledge I have, I acquired from my prior salon background assisting and working reception.The teachers are miserable and don't treat the student body with respect whatsoever. I was appalled by the immaturity and the gossip that came out of the faculty. I overheard teachers whispering about students to each other constantly. I felt like I was in middle school again, as an adult in their mid 20s.There were many moments when I asked for help learning something and was ignored.It was evident that many of the staff didn't work well in a salon environment, and chose to work in a hair school just to mitigate looking for another career. (These are not the people who should be teaching).I felt bad for the students in my class who were fresh out of high school, and I sincerely hope that Blanche didn't deter them from seeking further post-secondary education.Avoid the scam. I wish I had.
