Feb 10th – first viewing the bike with *** ***** ******* All inspected the bike, no damage anywhere Feb 13th --tire change at modern, **** (friend/seller) brought it in Feb 18th – bike pick up Around 4-5pm, already dark, rode home without closely When I went home, I stored the bike inside, and I didn't touch it for two weeks. I just became aware of the scratch on the rim from February 27. When Modern Motorcycling Ltd. changed tires on the rim, they were irresponsible and ********* and refused to accept responsibility for their actions, which ruined the rim. I went into the shop and talked to Spero ******, the mechanic, and provided him with images of the damaged rim both before and after the tire was installed as evidence of my claim. Then he informed me that their machine could never have ruined the rim the way that it had. I explained to him it was human error, not machine. He then called me something really offensive that i can't put here or my complaint doesn't go through, and at that moment there were no point of talking to them anymore. The owners dad, Murray ******, kept going up to my face. I asked him to stop since I didn't feel comfortable having him so close to me, but he didn't back down and continued to argue angrily that Spero was “perfect” and that they couldn't have caused the damage. Since the rim is made of carbon fiber, which has a brittle nature, a scratched rim poses a serious risk of failing suddenly and breaking when riding without warning. The motorcycle has been sitting for three weeks because of the rim damage. It is not safe to ride. After that, I made another attempt to get in touch with the owner, but he has been ignoring me because he thinks I'm just a child and I won't hold them responsible and just let it go. Based on ****** reviews, this kind of thing occurs frequently at the shop.

The Customer who has sent the complaint had nothing to do with the original purchase and install of the tires on Tuesday Feb 13th 2024 - the original owner brought us just the wheels to have the new tires installed and then he took the wheels away and had to reassemble the rear wheel and install  it on the motorcycle and at no time did he mention to us that the wheel had any new scratches or damage.  We did take slick style racing tires off the  wheels that we  were provided before we reinstalled new Street tires.  Which indicates that there were multiple tire changes  already done to the wheel before we received it.  Then the new owner of the motorcycle which is the person making this complaint Messaged me at 6:23pm on Wednesday Feb 28th 2024 to complain of the damage to his rear wheel, more than 2 weeks after we had changed the tire.  He mentioned in the message that he had brought the motorcycle down to have tires changed around Feb 18th 2024.  I asked him to send me a photo of the work order, he said he would look but could not find it.  When i was at the shop the next time i mentioned to him in a message that the closest thing i could find was a customer named **** who only brought the wheels down to have tires installed on the 13th of February.  i mentioned this to him and then he mentioned that was the person he got the motorcycle from and then i told him he only brought the wheels down and he seemed confused and mentioned he was going to  call  the original owner.

The mechanic who worked on the wheels explained to the new owner that due to the new tires being the ******* brand we would put the wheel in the tire machine with the Disc brake side facing up to match the balance point on the ******* tire( which is different than other brands) Also our tire machine has both plastic wheel holding clamps and a fully plastic upper duck bill on the tire changing arm.  So the damage was on the opposite side of the wheel and the tire machine only has plastic parts that even get close to the rim so there is no way that the scratch in the rim was caused by us and install of the new tires.  Our guess is it was already there from one of the previous tire changes.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

All you are doing is blaming ****, he is willing to testify in court, and better yet he is willing to pursuit this himself.

Check the *** for a detailed description. I understand it's your job to defend your employee.

      **** *** * ****** ****** **** **** *** **** ******* ** ***** *** ** **** ******** ********** ****** ** ***** ** *** **** ******* **** ** * ******* ** ******** ** *** **** ** ********* ******* ** *********
Fortunately, there is no structure damage to the rim as I have consulted other experts, it does not need to be replaced but will need extensive restoring. This is not a matter of money, this is a matter of principle.

      Sincerely,

      *********************
