We bought out the lease on our car at the end of the lease through Mini Vancouver. We were forced to pay $2000 in fees for the privilege of buying out our own car (only $14,000 was owed). As part of those fees we paid for an end of lease inspection to identify any issues with the car. As soon as we left the dealer, we noticed the air conditioning was not working, and would only blow hot air. Upon further inspection by a third party mechanic it was determined that the ** compressor was broken, and requires a very expensive fix, somewhere in the neighbourhood of $3000-$4000+. This changes the balance on our payout of the car, making it potentially not worth paying Mini large fees to buyout. For 10 + days after I tried to get in touch with the service department, leaving many messages with staff who all assured me someone would get back to me. It took me 5 or 6 calls to finally get a call back, and then a follow up email that nothing could be done, and I should contact Mini Canada corporate to discuss the issue for a resolution. I spoke with Mini Canada today, and they referred me back to the dealer to discuss. I am a very frustrated customer, as this now as taken many hours of my time to follow up and try and speak with somebody, and am now again waiting on a call back from the Service Manager for the 3 or 4th time without any response.
