    TV #1: Brought unit to them and paid them $67.20 for a simple diagnostic. It was an easy mechanical repair. They emailed me the repair options. I chose the cheaper option. Done. They emailed me, saying it was finished and ready for pickup. They emailed me again later and asked me to pick it up because they wanted it out of their shop. Rude emails. Whoever was emailing should not be contacting customers. Went to pick it up. They rang up the more expensive option. I said that was not the agreement. Then they discovered that some work had been done, but it turns out something additional needed to be done so the work, in fact, wasn't finished and the unit wasn't ready at all and it was going to cost me more. I said forget it, just throw it in the dumpster.

    TV #2: They charge $67 for an estimate for repair. I pay the money thinking I'm not losing that amount because it's applied to the cost of repair. Six hours later, I get the estimate of $1607.20 to replace the screen and asked if I wanted to proceed. I had only paid $1600 for the unit, new! Surely, they knew that the repair was going to be prohibitively and uneconomically expensive before they extracted $67 from me! What a rip off. It's too bad it's the only authorized repair facility in town. Next time, I'm going out of town for repair. I'm out $134.40 with nothing to show for it. I do not recommend Q-Tel to anyone.

    Tv #1 A estimate was given for a main pcb due to damage to the power jack; the estimate was ok'd. The board was ordered and installed and this did not fix the issue. Once the tv has had power a new issue arose. A new estimate was then given for the led backlights. That estimate was not ok'd. The techs spent time installing the parts and working on the unit but unfortunately, we can’t help if the TVs have more one issue. Not much else we could have done on that one.

    Tv #2 We charge a fee for our time to do parts research, email correspondence with the manufacturer and the customer and estimates. It goes though several people’s hands which we have to all pay for their time. We don’t set the prices from the manufacturer and have no control over part costs. We did not make the tv or sell the tv. We simply gave an estimate to repair it and you were told costs before the estimate cost which you agreed to. We have done nothing wrong.
