      on May 4th i took possession of the 2009 Hyundai Sante Fe bought at Galaxy Motors Duncan. when I purchased the vehicle no engine light was lit yet on delivery is was. during the last 3 months galaxy motors has been in possession of my vehicle more days then it has been in mine. Galaxy Duncan replaced the transmission but now the suv in question needs a new motor and i am being told that i will be on the hook for **** for what my extended warranty and galaxy motors wont cover. My vehicle has never worked properly from the moment it was delivered and now wont unless i come up with **** dollars more then i purchased the car for that was suyppose to be in good working order.

      Client purchased the vehicle declining extended warranty.
      The check engine light was on and as per diagnostics from our Langford store, it needed an oil control valve which we replaced at no cost to client. The transmission was diagnosed at this time for a failure and we replaced that and additionally provided a complimentary warranty. The customer has put 5000km on the vehicle and the engine light is back on and has been diagnosed as failed timing guides so re and re engine. Cost to replace is ***** and we have already provided good will to this customer prior to this on this inexpensive vehicle that warranty was declined on. We have offered to split the difference above the warranty coverage to which the client has refused. We have gone above and beyond for this customer.

      Picked up our new Rv on june 23 2023 after pulling it upisland and setting it up with all our new stuff we discovered it had a full grey tank there was significant ceiling damge in the bedroom due to the roof had be leaking. None of tge windows or exterior doors were caulked to stop any water leaking in to the walls. Also stains from interior outlets that also had water damage. So i called galaxy said im returning the rv there were so many other things wrong. This is a brand new rv mind you. So took it back on 25th *** the manager at galaxy excepted rv back and offered another one i refused. It was the worst buying experience of my life. I did not want another one. They have had the rv over a month and refuse to cancel loan and return money to scotia bank i am now in collections as im not paying for an rv i no longer am in possession of. The owner of that store *** **** **** *** said if you buy a house you cant cancel after you buy it there will always be flaws. *** ****** **** ******* ***** nobody would buy a brand new house that has a leaky roof and no exterior protection against the elements. I am at a loss as my credit is getting smashed because of them refusing to cancel loan. It was not new like i signed for * **** ****** ** ******** **** *** ******* ******* ** ** ******** *** **** **** *** ***

      Mr. C., after using his RV noted deficiencies  - he also stated to a manager that his truck was having a hard time pulling it. Per our manufacture guidelines, and in accordance with the VSA, we immediately offered to repair any deficiencies and if that did not suffice, offer a full swap of the exact same trailer. We cautioned Mr. C. to continue to make payments and if he didn't, that his credit would be affected. He dropped the trailer off under advice not to. He spoke to a bank branch Assistant Manager(not an auto lender), who falsely gave him the impression that he could drop the trailer off and unwind the deal. Though there were deficiencies, Galaxy RV has done everything in accordance with the contract Mr. C. signed.

Galaxy motors excepted the rv back and said the repairs were not worth fixing due to saverity of the damages **** *** **** ** ******** I have spoke directly with the loan office and they are no longer trying to take payment as stated in the contract i have a right to return within 30 days of first payment which i did. I want this behind me. I want nothing to do with galaxy rv *** **** ** ****** ******** *** ** *** ******* **** like i said they are no longer asking for any payments and have put stop to contract and want there money back from galaxy rv. I am getting a lawyer this week ** **** *** ****** * **** ******** ******** *** * ******* ** **** * ******** ******

      The PDI was done by the manufacturer and after the trailer was used, some items broke down which are covered under warranty and we told Mr. C. we would repair. We deny telling Mr. C. that the repairs weren't worth fixing.

      Mr. C. was given false information from the Scotia bank employee he dealt with *** *** *** ***** **** ************

      We have offered to work with Mr. C. but he does not seem willing to work with us.

      We have spoken with the Scotia RV rep - *** ********* ******* ** ****** ***** *** **** *********** *** *********** ****** **** ** *** *** *** ****** ** **** ****** There is a liability to Scotia at this point. We received a call from a bailiff yesterday - Scotia has started repossession of the unit. We have instructed them that the unit is untouched and in our parking lot upstairs and this is why they have stopped taking payments,

      I am writing to lodge a formal complaint against Galaxy Motors Courtenay regarding a significant issue with the air conditioning system in the vehicle I purchased from their dealership in December 2022. Despite acknowledging the problem, Galaxy only performed partial repairs and refused to address the remaining issues. Upon purchasing the vehicle, I received an inspection report dated 2023/12/07, stating that the air conditioning had **en inspected and found to ** in proper working order. However, a service order dated 2023/12/08, provided to me after the sale, revealed deferred recommended services related to the AC system. Realizing the discrepancy, I contacted Galaxy Motors to address the matter. The dealership reluctantly agreed to assume responsibility for the repairs. However, when the repairs were scheduled to ** completed, only a fraction of the necessary services were undertaken, while the remaining repairs were neglected. Moreover, Galaxy suggested that I use my extended warranty to cover the outstanding repairs, despite knowing about the issue prior to selling me the warranty. ******** ** **** * ****** ** ****** ***** **  Despite my repeated attempts to engage in further discussions to reach a fair resolution, Galaxy has displayed uncooperative behaviour and has shown a lack of responsiveness to my concerns. As a consumer, I find this situation deeply unsatisfactory and indicative of a breach of trust by the dealership. I firmly believe that it is my right as a customer to expect transparent dealings and a genuine commitment to rectify issues that arise with a purchased vehicle. I kindly request your intervention and assistance in mediating this dispute. I am seeking a resolution that includes the completion of all necessary repairs, as stated in the service order, at no cost to me, and without resorting to fraudulent practices by using my extended warranty.

      This vehicle is repaired. There are no outstanding issues.  There is no leak in the a/c system, the a/c not blowing cold was the initial complaint, and the additional parts that were deferred by the client 2 owners ago are not required as they are not leaking after our most recent repair. 
      We covered this repair at no cost to the client.  In the process we also completed a cooling system service as the condition of the bolts securing the condenser to the radiator needed to be replaced and the radiator had to be removed to extract them.   The client was made aware of this additional repair prior to starting due to the extra time required and there was no additional cost for this service. 
      We have been fully co-operative to get her car repaired.  She was immediately combative as we needed her authorization to get the car properly diagnosed as she refused to pay.  After I agreed to cover any costs above the $75 galaxy difference gift certificate which we provided at delivery she agreed to bring the car in for the diagnostic.  I was clear that whatever the repair was required to fix her vehicle we would cover that repair for her. 
      The highlighted areas in her photo show the high pressure line, port cores, and the brakes were deferred.  As this was the invoice we provided her she believes they were deferred by us but they were from 2 and 3 owners ago when they declined the services.  The brakes on her inspection report show 10mm which is brand new as they had been replaced in August 2022 by that same client 3 clients ago who had initially deferred the repair.  I can provide documentation of the previous owners deferring the repairs and show that it wasn’t us.   ALL the deferred serviced did however print on her paperwork when we closed the galaxy motors paperwork.  PBS does not have a solution for deferred services from previous clients not printing other than to cancel all the deferred services.  I let them know that it hadn’t prompted us to delete them and they have no work around for this at this time.

       I am rejecting this response because: regardless of who deferred the services, the fact of the matter is they were deferred. I was sold a vehicle with known issues that were not disclosed until after the sale. The service department is claiming there are no leaks now, despite not having completed the services they previously recommended and deferred.
