On October 8th, 2022 an advertisement came across my ********* that promoted an academy that would teach me how to become an online fitness coach. I briefly spoke with the owner and explained to him I had no prior coaching experience and he reassured me I would be fine and that my needs would be taken care of within his academy. So I subscribed paying a total of $500 USD which was a recurring monthly subscription with the option to cancel within 60 days if I was unhappy with the services delivered to me. At the time I was away working very long hours so I didn't get the chance to go over the academy's course content until sometime in mid-November of 2022 after paying a total of $1000 USD. On the 17th of November 2022, I contacted them to cancel my subscription as it was still within the 60-day period they allowed for cancellation. I reached out to the company in an attempt to have my funds returned as I did not feel I received the product that was marketed to me as there was absolutely no training on fitness coaching or nutrition whatsoever. All of the content is marketing-related content and there are also no quizzes, exams, or any way to measure progress/success. Majority of the content in the academy is past live streams from their ************** which being a member of was also a part of the subscription-based service. Upon signing up I was met with a slide on the signup pdf that states if I was unhappy I could cancel within 60 days and that they would even send me an extra $20 for pizza so I could say I got my money's worth that time I worked with them leading me to believe I would be refunded. I reached out to them numerous times and even 1 of the owners directly and that was not the case. As the services I received are not what was marketed to me and I was assured by the owner my needs would be met I would like a refund in full for the 2 months I paid totaling $1000 USD. I would also like them to remove the misleading slide from the signup pdf.
