    My name is Jessica ***** and I am writing this letter in regards to a laptop I had purchased from a business here in Brandon MB. I purchased a used laptop from a business by the name of The Computer Mechanic and the owner's name was Andrew, I did not get a last name nor a business card. The laptop was purchased October 29th 2022 after I googled places in town on where to find a laptop for my son's 10th birthday, I found the name and number of The Computer Mechanic and gave the business a call. A man by the name of Andrew answered the phone and said he had a used laptop for sale for the price of $******, he explained it was in perfect condition and ready to go. He also included a 6-month warranty. I had gone down to the business to purchase the Acer laptop from Andrew and gave him the money and he explained he did not have his computer on at the moment and that he would write me out a bill of sale. I took the Acer laptop home along with the bill of sale, but in late December the laptop had stopped working by not turning on or holding a charge. I contacted Andrew at The Computer Mechanic by text message and asked if he can have a look at the laptop as it wasn't working, he texted me back by saying he was on holidays and did not respond with when he was going to be back from holidays. I waited a week or so and texted him back in the beginning of January 2023 and was given an answer of "still on holidays". Late January I tried calling but had got an answering machine with saying the voicemail is full. I texted Andrew again and told him I was a little frustrated and wanted to get my son's laptop fixed, his was reply was that he was busy and in the process of moving his business. I asked for a refund but was given a reply from Andrew as "this is not ******" I than told him I wasn't happy with his business and just wanted him to look at the laptop. He then made an appointment for me to bring the laptop in to have it looked at. On February 1st 2023 I went down to The Computer Mechanic and when I arrived there, there was a note on the door that had said "out on a service call, text me and I will come back right away" I texted Andrew stating I was outside his business with the laptop and he replied back with "on service call will text you when I come back", I did not hear from Andrew since than. * ** ********* *** **** ** **** **** *** ***** ** ** **** ****** ** *** **** ** *********
