We asked Winnipeg Gas Pro to do our porch, stairs and a deck. Scott was not reliable. He prompted to request payments in advance multiple times. We had received multiple text messages from him inquiring when we will pay deposits or when we will pay prior to any job was even completed. He often cancelled at the last minute when we already spared our time away from work for nothing. He was supposed to remove an old deck as well. He demanded full payment with a promise of job satisfaction. We trusted him and thus paid the full amount. He promised us to assure quality of the job on the aforementioned but later admitted that he was not present to supervise his subcontractor. The work was poorly done as dimensions of the deck were not what was discussed. On the invoice, he said the job would be completed by the end of the weekend Oct 29, 2023 and he would remove and replace an old back porch and stairs and replace them with new. However, the removed old parts are still piled up in front of our garage. The job was half done with poor performance. My husband made multiple attempts to reach out to him and solve the problem but he was not responding to any text or phone messages. We requested refund for the part he did not finish but he refused. He did not provide any solution either.Initial Complaint

This complaint is about the Winnipeg Gas-pro Ltd, ************************************************************************ Scott sold to me and installed a new furnace on October 19/21, $3700 I paid him in cash, and he said any issue needs service is 24/7. The furnace worked ok when the weather was still warm but as soon as the cold weather came the furnace started having problems. On December 15/21 I couldn't get the thermostat to read above 66 degrees and it had a "Call Service" reading come up, we feel so cold in the house. I trying to call him many times he always saying that he's busy and when he finally said he will come the next day to take a look, but he never showed up. So we are stuck with very little heat in my home, suffer from this coldness while waiting for him to fix it, both my baby and my family all got sick. So I called him again on December 28/21, and I begged him to fix it for me, he said he will charge $218 minimum for the service, because he's busy, and he doesn't want to do anything for free. This furnace is TWO month old that this guy installed but he didn't want to take any responsibility. I called Manitoba Hydro and they come on Dec. 29/21 to look at it but they would be unable to do any repairs to the furnace because there was no installation permit taken out by (Winnipeg Gas-pro Ltd, Scott ********), and there are several issues listed due to installation, ***************************************************** ****************************************************************************************************************************** After Hydro left, I thought I can give him last chance to make it right, and he ************** said he won't fix my furnace for free. Therefore I have to pay other company $173.6 for get some heat. And NO companies wants to pull out a permit number and fix the rest of the problems, because its a lot of responsibilities. I am stuck. ************************************************************************Business response
