I had chosen to leave the auto body repairs to Crown Autobody ******** ****** dropped off February 4. Aside from the 8th month wait and no communication from ***** ***** to customer (Steven ****** from ***** *****) and turnover from staff at Crown Autobody *** **** ******* *** **** ** **** ****** ****** the vehicle had front end damages that was to be restored. Upon completion I was advised to remove the vehicle off the lot on or around October 6 and finally seeing the repairs done on October 22nd once it had arrived back on my property as no one provided a walk around of the “completed work” when I had attended to pick up the keys on (oct 11) I had noticed the replaced bumper is not even the same color of the body of the vehicle. When I had reached out the Crown Autobody advising the bumper is not the same color, their response below: “The part that you are referring to is a textured plastic, we are unable to paint it. We ordered the same one that corresponds to the VIN of your vehicle. With that being said, it is just your lower bumper cover that we do not paint. It is the same type of lower bumper cover that was originally on your vehicle, we just had replaced it.” -Abigail ****** As far as I am aware, claims through MPI damages have always been repaired to reflect how it was prior to an accident (factory setting) as well as their website indicates as well - when did they stop painting the bumpers? Was the wrong bumper ordered? Possible a non texturized bumper could have been painted? So I'm just unsure where do I go from here? This entire experience with the Crown Autobody and ***** ***** has been the biggest regret ever and I just want the vehicle to have the same colours as it had when the vehicle went into the shop. I've had my share of fender benders and the bumpers were always painted This is the only rdx in Canada with a mixed matched colour bumper! That is not factory setting as indicated on their website (Crown Autobody website)Business response
